Thorntons is a great chocolate shop. It tastes so good, some of the best chocolate i have ever tasted! The shop is quite small but has lots of variety in there. The Ice Cream there is really good but is extremerly expensive and the chocolate is also expensive.

This is a great little shop tha sells choclate and ice cream. It is all good quality and is great to buy as a gift for somone. It is a very smal shop and can often get crowded however the queue is always shory with helpful staff waiting for you.

Thornton's continue in my opinion are still the best company when it comes to the quality and the taste of chocolate. Some companies sell worse quality and taste chocolate in big slabs for cheaper, but for me it's all about the taste, and if you measured the taste factor in these chocolates, and divided it by the weight of them, the end result would still beat the huge slabs of any other chocolate. Thorntons are the best at making chocolate full stop.

I love Thorntons chocolate! Its a great place to find a present, although on the expensive side. Having relocated to a smaller shop recently, Thorntons has slightly less choice than before, and can be a bit cramped and busy. Having said that, the staff are always friendly and helpful.

I personally feel that thorntons is a bit overpriced for what you get, dont get me wrong if you've got the money to spend on the "finer" things in life then by all means splash out but i just feel that chocolatae is chocolate and theres no reason to pay more at one place if you can pay less at another

I used to be a fan of this chocolate shop, but compared to places like House of Chocolate and Montezuma's, this shop isn't worth stepping into. It's small and poky, and the chocolate isn't very good quality, and the prices are high. The only good aspect is that you can buy a chocolate slab and the staff will write a message on it. Apart from that, it's really nothing special.

This place is tiny which is useful if its packed out and you fancy a little bit of C.A.T (chocoholics annonymous time) a moment on the lips a lifetime on the hips remember!! absolutely delicious chunks of chocolate which make great presents for loved ones for any occasion, that can be wrapped up if desired. During summer days, they sell icecream with loads of yummy flavours that are great value for money. Staff are friendly too!

A very good place to go if you are a chocoholic like me! It sells a variety of chocolates, which is nice to give to friends and family for birthdays or Christmas! It has moved further down the high street and it is now a very small store where there is hardly any space, which is not great.

I love Thorntons! It is in a really good location and sells high quality products. It is expensive but I think spending the money is worth it. It always has something yummy, even if you do just pop in for a small chocolate lolly on your way through town!

Expansive range of chocolates, always have something suitable for an occasion, if not they can make something for you at a reasonable price. Always try and add something from thorntons with some other gifts, as its a nice touch.

This offers great variety and high quality products all year round. In the summer, the ice cream is delicous and the shops location in the middle of the HIgh Street means it is perfect for picking up a yummy cone on the way past. The gifts cover a good range of budgets and thus make present buying easy. The free icing is an added incentive as it easily makes gifts personal.

DELICIOUS chocolate! Always a little too tempted to pop in for a cheap and tasty milk chocolate lolly pop but that can only be a good thing...

The ice cream sold in Thornton's is AMAZING especially on a summer's day. The shop is very small so can get very crowded but they always have some beautifully presented chocolates and it's great for buying presents. The shop is very accessible as it's on the pedestrianised zone of the high street. A problem would be that the prices are very high and you can buy some good tasting chocolate elsewhere.

this is a great store that sells loads of chocolate, fudge, truffles and icecream. it use to be really nice but now it has moved lower down the high street into a very small shop and i feel is suffering as a result as is a bit difficult to get into.

I am a really big fan of Thorntons because there are chocolates avialable for every occasion. It is a really great place to buy gifts for others or if you want to treat yourself. The food is first rate all the time and even though it is a bit pricy it is defiently worth it for the quality of the chocolate.

A first choice for any last minute presents. Thornton's has a wide variety of chocolates and gift boxes, for all occasions, and they range greatly in price. The staff are friendly and helpful, they even allowed me to come back after closing time to collect a personalised order they had been working on.

A great chocolate shop with a good variety of different types of chocolate and sweets. Prices vary but are generally quite high but this is reflected in the quality. Also in the summer they do the best ice creams available in Winchester although these too are quite pricey. Really great quality chocolate, this store is ideal for presents but they also have small treats just for you! The staff are lovely and you can always find something within your budget.

Thorntons sells absolute quality products but it does come at a price, and quite a high one at that. The Winchester thorntons is very small and when there are more than a few people inside it feels very squashed. A shame they had to move from the bigger location. The queue usually flows quite quickly and the staff are happy to write messages on some gifts to give it more of a personalised feel.

Probably some of the best chocolate ever. Great for presents for family and friends at the last minute. Good chocolate at good prices not too expensive but not cheap.

Thorntons products are literally so lush! great for little presents. While this is a small shop, it suits it to be sort of small and cute. They sell both big items, and smaller snack type childrens bad of fudge or chocolate, really good! The queue's are never too long, and service is really friendly and helpful. Also in summer they sell the yummiest ice creams! Definitely worth a visit! SO good.

CHOCOLATE YUMMIE, this store is so great as i am a huge chocolate lover... i get all my easter presents for my friends in this shop and it can also be quite good for valentines day of for any other occasion birthday? Christmas? ect... or even if you just would like a tastey treat!

The lollipops are insanely good! Ice creams are really expensive but you know they will be really good quality. Although small, its never really busy - dont know why! but isnt.

A great place to buy gifts for family and friends, this Thorntons, albeit small, has a wide variety of chocolates, toffees, fudges and other sweets and treats available. Prices vary and can be quite expensive, however, you're paying for excellent quality so its worth the little bit extra. The staff are all very friendly and ready to help, and there is a nice gift wrapping service should you require it.

This is a thorntons store in the town of winchester. The staff are always very friendly, and the chocolate is delicious. The problem with this store is the lack of space to move around. It is a very confined area and people often find themselves bumping in to something or someone! However, this is made up for by the tremendous tasting chocolate. Thornton's is a must when buying birthday or Christmas presents!

If you are looking for a present for someone or just a little treat for yourself this is definitly the place to go as they have a wonderful selection of chocolates in boxes and also small individual ones. They also do a service where you can get personalised chocolates. A perfect present for that special person.

Love thorntons! This store is fairly small but offers a wide range of delicious chocolate! They often have samples on offer which are always good. During the summer they do ice creams that are definately worth a buy! Highly recommended

I have to say that I am a massive fan of Thorntons chocolate, so to me, anywhere I can buy it from will do! That said, this is still a great little chocolate shop with a good layout and helpful staff. Worth checking out and great for no-brainer birthday presents!

This store has recently down-scaled but still stocks a variety of chocolates suitable for a treat or to buy as presents. One of the best places in Winchester to buy ice cream from but this means big queues during the summer!

Shame it had to move to a smaller location butthe product is still an incredible quality and would recommend everyone to go there. There is something for everyone in there.

This is a really great chocolate shop with a variety of different types of chocolate. The only bad point would be that the shop is too small and sometimes it can become very crowded. But the Icecream in the summer is to die for!

Nice little chocolate shop, has plenty to choose from and also offers ice cream. Prices are reasonable as you get great chocolate made by proffesionals. Also Staff are friendly.

one of the best bits about this place is the smell it leaks onto the highstreet; a mixture of chocolate and coffee beans. i have been in here a few times to buy presents. the pricing is fair, as you can get a good sized box for a fiver. they will even wrap it for you, if it is a gift. very good staff.

Good chocolate at good prices! You can also personalize a present you buy here with your own special message! The staff are friendly and helpful and this shop is generally a good place to visit if your feeling in the mood for some good quality not too expensive chocolate!

Quite Small and cramped! however it has all of the products of a large one and a relatively popular ice-cream stool. i nearly broke teh counter once when with my friend by leaning on it and not realising it was on wheels! =/

Considering the quality, price and fair trade aspects of luxury chocolate being sold today, you can't really say that Thorntons measured up. The shop in Winchester is small and sells tackily packaged, cloying chocolate that makes no claim to be eco or world friendly and that is overpriced. I'd prefer cadbury's any day - for about a quarter of the price.

Very good quality chocoalye, perhaps at a high price but it is of a high quality. In the summer the selection of ice creams really are popular and are great to cool you down whilst adding great taste.

A great mainstream chocolate maker. It always stocks a decent box of chocolates that suit most occasions(if a little bit expensive) . The cheaper ranges 99p etc... are all very good too and taste equally good.

Lovely chocolate at completely reasonable prices. I always try and add something from Thorntons to the gifts that I give. Thoroughly delicious shop and staff.

Great tasty chocolate. If you buy a slab of chocolate they can write a message on that you want so its good for presents. They also do chocolate shots for chocoholics and icecream in the summer.
