A nice club, offering cheap drinks and free entry to see good live music on a Sunday evening. I have only been twice, as I am often in early on a Monday morning but if you don't have anything to do and you fancy a big night out then I wholeheartedly recommend going to HiFi
This is on of the highlights of the buzzing Leeds nightlife scene. It plays lots of different types of musical from dirty electro some nights to r&b to funky soul. Live concerts on a sunday night (which are normally free) are a real treat. Drinks are quite expensive which is its only down point
Different to anywhere else in leeds, none of your commercial tunes or gatecrasher crowd in here! expect something different every night of the week but even if it isnt your kind of music you will still have a good night with good people! drinks are not cheap so take plenty money, or plenty friends!! all in all it is a good place to go, especially after a few drinks in the bars of call lane
I really love this club. The music varies and is quite alternative and the drinks are reasonably priced.
The venue itself is really cool as it is underground and it has little alcoves to sit in. Sundays are the best night
LOVE IT.
think it's one of the best clubs in Leeds if you want to get away from your average student night. There's a good mix of people, music and the prices are reasonable too. Recommend Sunday nights especially, and the Reggae nights once a week too.
One of the best alternative clubs in Leeds as it seems to offer something for everyone. I really don't know anyone who's tried it, and doesn't love it! the music varies hugely from night to night so its best to check before you go, but you can always rely on a sunday night to be AWEsome.
Another small alternative nightclub in leeds which is lesser known. Provides the public with its own brand of music ranging from electro to soul and funk. Great night out even though the prices are a little dear compared to most
HiFi is a strange one, sometimes it can be really fun and busy but sometimes the music is a bit too alternative (some funk and jazzy stuff, which can be hard to dance to), and you feel really self-concious dancing as sometimes your basically the only one! Its also quite dear- well, not cheap. So I recommed you check exactly what the music is becuase unless your really into it you wont really have a good time.
Hifi is a dead cert if youre after a good night out... Wednesday and Saturdays are the most popular I think, they play great music and this attracts a really good crowd. The drinks are a tad more expensive; however the standard measures in here are 35ml not the usual 25ml, so effectively youre getting more for your money!
The one, the only, the creamiest macaroni. This place is the cats pyjamas. The elephants toothbrush and the salmons tutu.
I love this place.
Amazing alternative nights - unalike ANY others in Leeds. I especially love the Reggae night every last thursday of the month.
The drinks a a tad more expensive than those at the hiddeous student nights scattered around Leeds. However this is most probably down to the fact that they sell real drinks instead of vile vodka and petrol - sorry energy drink.
I've only been here twice and although both times were over a year ago i'm unlikely to go back. I hated the music and i didn't like the atmosphere which was far from friendly. The drinks were expensive and i generally just had a rubbish night. A lot of my friends have ended up in fights on nights out here, and on the most part it wasn't their fault. Not for me although a lot of people love the place
Ive only ever been here on soul nights, but if they are anything to go by this place should be great any night of the week! I couldnt get enough of Stevie,Marvin and Diana!!
Hi Fi is known as being quite a 'cool' place to hang out, especially after the introduction of jazz Sundays, a roast dinner and live jazz music, what more could you ask for. Plus Corinne Bailey Rae has been known to give impromptue performances when she visits!
Hifi is a cool, retro club which offers good music, relatively cheap entrance and a good night out. Last time I visited it was a Reggae night which was amazing and made such a change from the boring, tedious tunes that fill the rest of the club. If your up for a laugh HiFi is a must.
Quite good on a sunday as its free entry and they have good bands playing. Once Corrine Bailey rae turned up which was a surprise and was amazing! Also lesser known bands that have played there are equally good. Drinks are expensive on a sunday but then thats what you get with free entry.
A really cool little venue right in the heart of town. One of the places to be seen, it is one of Leeds' more upmarket nights out. Plays mainly electro, techno etc. Is moderately prices -£5 entry and reasonable drink prices.
One of the 'places to be seen' in Leeds; this club has got a definite cool factor to it. Plays the best of electro, dance and trance, with the best night being Monday's 'Your mum likes electro' event. Is somewhat dear both on the door and in terms of drink prices though, and is fairly small inside.
This is one of the smaller pubs in Leeds, and also definately one of the coolest. The best night is Monday's "your mum likes electro" night, playing the best on techno trance and dance. However, is somewhat too overpriced for me - there are certainly better nights out for cheaper to be had.
A great little club near the corn exchange. Always has a vibrant atmosphere and people are always dancing to the blend of minimal, electro and house being played constantly. Drinks on club nights are always cheap for example jagermeister at £2 a shot!
A cool venue in the city, good atmosphere and reasonably priced drinks, but more a venue for anyone who loves mo-town music, jazz of old school rhythm and blues. Always busy on a Wednesday night, the resident student night. Normally decent live bands on at the weekend.
This is a really good little club. The music is different to the normal fair you will get in Leeds and there is a really nice atmosphere. The drinks prices are ok (there are generally some offers on) and its not to expensive to get in.
Great club. Absolutely tiny which is good as you can never loose your mates. Corrine bailey rae turned up there once to sing which was cool. QUite expensive entry after 11pm but if you go early sometimes you can get in free.
Despite being located next to faraway Corn Exchange, the HiFi Club is a great place. It's a club/bar with various nights, during which it plays funk, jazz, indie, etc. A good time to go there is Sundays (lunchtimes and evenings), when they have live jazz bands playing.Drinks are a bit more expensive than your regular pub, but spirits are 35ml for a single one instead of 25ml. This could compensate, I guess.
