Since this store was refurbished,i have found it to be great.
They have a great range of womenswear, menswear and childrenswear-all items at excellant prices and great quality.. I recently brought some vest tops in the sale for 90p each-RRP--3....
They have a sufficient sized household department and toys department-with plenty to choose from.
With a Starbucks next to it,you are able to grab a drink and shop with it in your hand,or wait till after and sit and chill..
There is ample parking space, although the store could benefit from a cash point being available.
Overall, a great improvement on the original store, and a much needed refurbishment for Winchester.
I quite often go for picnics in the watermeadows and i will always come and buy the food from sainsburys. It is a relatively small branch of sainsburys due to the fact that there is a bigger one just on the outskirts of winchester, however it is very well stocked, the fruit there is always fresh, and the staff are extremely friendly. although there is a small range of sandwiches and not many types of crisps the drinks section is full and the fresh cakes/donuts/bread are delicious. i very very often buy the taste the difference chocolate cookies. they are AMAZING i definitely recommend them. its a busy shop, and well frequented by locals. strict on alcohol and cigarettes which is good. well priced good food. many toilettries too.
My family normally shos here and it has just been expanded to include a bigger clothes section amongst other things. It has the standard stock of groceries and good choice when it comes to free range and organic produce.
i love sainoes. although now they have re-dont it they sell a lot of unnessasary products. it is still brilliant thought. great range if products at a great range of prices and quality.
a well layed out store which is easy to access and figure out
lots of friendly and helpful staff which are happy to help
alot of good weekly offers and good prices all year round
Badger Farm Sainsburys is probably Winchesters best supermarket. Theres loads of choice in food, and new building work will allow the addition of a clothes section. Staff are always friendly and helpful, and the store layout is good so its easy to find what youre looking for. Its currently being refurbished and extended, so is unfortunately closed for the week. I look forward to a bigger, better store at the end of July!
This is a store that is currently undergoing refurbishment and is due to re-open again next week. It will have a wide range of electrical items, TU clothing and generally a larger store. The staff are always friendly and willing to offer a hand if its needed. It is generally a larger store than Tesco in Winnall and has a better range of items.
Well built, and used to have a great selection of stuff, but right now its being re-built, so its closed. When open, its going to be bigger and better, as it will sell more food and clothes as well. But until then, i'm giving it a negative review.
This sainsburys is large and well-stocked, with the additional bonus of having a starbuck's coffee shop in the store. Sainsburys has good, high-quality food with alot of it fairtrade. There is lots of fresh produce and deli, fish and poultry counters as well as an excellent bakery section (yummy tiger bread...). There is plently of parking and a petrol station, a small disadvantage is the single road into the store which can sometimes become busy.
Large store, with good stocking. Newly decorated, the store is well maintained, and has a wide range of products. The fast checkout service is also available, and there is alot of parking available. Prices are reasonable, but a little expensive, but the quiality of the food is pretty high. There is also a petrol station, which has alot of pumps, and a small shop. The service can be a little unfriendly and sometimes not very good.
To be fair its like most other Sainsburys shop, infact its almost identicle however it has pretty much everything you need for the weekly shop and then some aswell as being reasonablely priced which is nice if your on a budget as well as having kids to cater for.
sells everything you could ever want. food, cd's, dvd's and other items. also has petrol station with reasonable prices. i think its the closest petrol station to the motorway if you come off at winchester so its there if you need it.
My local supermarket and there is no food you want that isnt available from sainsburys. The first place I go when I'm hungry and theres nothing in the fridge as I usually check out all the deals when i'm down there to get as much money off as possible. There is a wide range of computer games, CD's and cheap DVD's aswell, with a new range of clothing coming soon. Once they have finished rennovating the store it will be even better and a lot more roomy.
Excellent supermarket to go to in the summer if you're going for a picnic with friends. But it's not just about foodm you can buy magazines, CDs and DVDs here too, all for very cheap prices.
I wouldn't choose to shop in any other supermarket. The Fairtrade ethos of Sainsburies makes it a less damaging large business compared to other supermarkets, and obviously they stock everything you need, from food to DVDs, from cards and gifts to pet food. A great car park too.
As well as stocking all the supermarket basics making it the perfect place to do your weekly shop, Sainburys commitment to Fairtrade products makes this a good exprience for you and those in the third world. It is a light and airy store, conveniantly supported by Starbucks so you can relax after completing your shopping.
Excellent variety of products ranging from food to chemists. Great, wonderfully helpful staff and fantastic large, open shop. Prices are good and there is a good selection of food for vegetarians etc. Includes chemists, bakeries, fish shop, newsagents, salad bar and an ajoining cafe and launderette. Great service.
Sainsburys always sells high quality food at excellent prices, the store is easy to navigate around and the staff are polite and friendly. It makes doing the weekly shop easy and pleasant.
I use this store nearly every week. It provides foods and supplies and is very convenient - right in the centre of Winchester. The store is always busy and seems very popular. There are often queues but this is to be expected due to its popularity.

A good store for that time when you have to get all the shopping in at home. Quite big and has anything you need for your weekly shopping for the family.

This is a good branch it provides many products and always offers deals on some items, the staff are helpful however queues can be slow due to poor queueing lanes and of course busy shopping periods. Avoid these to make your shop more enjoyable
This is just pretty normal food store really, the ques are large, its hard to get around as quite big. BUT it has very good deals on BLUE BOLT just like red bull except 19p instead of £1.20 or what ever it is! (:

The lines are always long, this is not a bad thing for business just really annoying. I tend to aviod it unless i really need something from there. Its easy to get to though, thats a good point!

This is a good little Sainsbury's in the middle of Winchester. This shop is perfect if you need to get a few items but dont want to have to go all the way out to Badgers Farm to pick up a few carrots. There are plenty of staff on the checkouts making sure you never have to wait too long.
My mum does our grocery shoping at this Sainsbury's weekly. The food is good quality and the prices are good too. The store offers a wide range of food and drink as well as a good 'basics' range which is very well priced. The 'taste the difference' range is also very good quality and very tasty too.
Large store with a generally young aged average of employee's who do not seem to be able to carry out simple tasks. Although the shop has a large range of goods available, the shop itself and the shelves of food are often messy and untidy, making finding the product needed diffilcult. Store too large.
This is the best Sainsburys i have ever been in. The selection of food is amazing and the staff are fabulous.Prices may be high, but its worth it
This is a really great Sainsburys. The food is always fresh and the staff are always on hand to help and the food is really great!
Very large shop selling mainly everything you could want in your weekly shop. Always lots of deals on such as buy one and get one free as well as the food being relatively cheap anyway. Most staff members are friendly and ready to help!
Wicked supermarket, you can get so much for so little money..you can buy a bottle of coke or red bull type drink and a box of jaffa cakes for under a pound! Makes my day. Me and my friends tend to buy our lunch from here instead of bakeries as it is so much better value. The staff are helpful and friendly.
Offers eveything a supermarket should, good prices, good product range and friendly staff. Cant say a bad word about it, good place to work aswell.
Not the biggest Sainsbury's ever, but absolutely perfect if you want to grab some cheap food in town. If you want something to eat or to take somewhere, like the cinema or a picnic, don't go a bakery, go here!
This branch is very good, and provides a huge amount of products. The staff are very useful and always willing to help. The food is of good quality and a good price.
I love coming in here and buying random tasty food. It's very convenient. It sells a good variety of food and at the back, it sells freshly baked cakes which are very tasty!
A great superstore with an instore pharmacy, a dry cleaners and other stores right next door and a huge amount of checkouts for busy times. There are always staff members around to help and although there are currently resizing the counter section the store continues to run smoothly.
big, bold and beautiful. Friendly staff and it has a green, family out look with campaigns such as feed your family for a 5er! you may even get a glimse of jamie oliver!
Good place to pick up your weekly shop or if youre peckish has a large selection of sandwiches and drinks
Sainbury's is in a perfect location just off the highstreet in Winchester, it is a large supermarket in which you could easily carry out your weekly shopping or just nip in to get some fresh baked cookies or muffins.
a really well organised, good sized supermarket. the place is well ordered and staff are very good at finding what you are looking for. the car park is never full, and there is a nifty petrol station off the side. the store also includes a very good little pharmacy which carried many medications
I have used Sainsbury's my whole life as the prices are low, the varierty of products high, the staff are helpful and the supermarket well organised into different sections. It is easy to get to know the layout and staff will always be willing to give up there time and show you where something is. The queues are usually short, compared to its sister store on the winchester high street and the food is labelled clearly, so that you know what you are eating.
Sainsbury's has got great food at an ok price but its definatly not overpriced. You can pay a little less for the basics range or a little more for the taste the difference range, the staff are realy helpful when you ask for things and will even bring your bags out to your car.
Love sainsburys! the prices are not too bad but you do get good food there! and i dont mind paying that little bit extra if the food is good! it is handy and has the best cookies in the world!
Very convenient! A great place to go and stock up! The prices aren't too bad and they generally have everything to me and my family need to fill our cupboards with a whole week's shopping.
Sainsburys is my local supermarket as I live very close. Whenever I visit Sainsburys I never really have anything to complain about. It is currently being renevated and looks like it is going to be an outstanding store with even more space than before.
Like the guy below says this place doesn't really need a review. But it does give me the opportunity to have a little rant. Whenever I now visit this place I find that some shelves arn't stacked and entirely empty. Soemtimes you ask the staff for help and they do so, but sometimes they disappear off never to be seen again. Not something you would expect of such a large firm facing heavy competition.
Sainsbury's doesn't really need reviewing. It's great, if a little expensive at times, but I go there often enough and you can get loads of delicious foods from there.
A huge sainsburys that is being extended as I write. Its right near my house so I can walk there, saves using the car. Its good good products, a bit more expensive than tescos but with things like meat its often better quality. A lot of fair trade and organic products. Also a lot of my friends work there so the customer service is excellent. Get a reward card, you get loads of money off your shopping if you shop there regularly.
Avoid at xmas at all costs. It was bedlam the last few days before xmas. People were running over my feet with their trolleys and snarling if I went anywhere near the sprouts. Usually its a great shop, huge and well stocked. Quite expensive but usually my mum pays when I go home from Uni. Nice staff and some locally sourced products.
