I must say I think entrance to the ice arena is a bit overpriced. This may just be my opinion as I personally find after half an hour going round the same piece of ice surrounded by small children is enough for me so the price doesn't really cover it. It also takes yonks to get skates, put them on, then return them at the end. Theres not much of a sound system, it could be better. However the location right near burger king is quite good for a snack after :)

It is a decent place to spend an afternoon with the kids or grand children, the prices are fairly reasonable and it is always deemed a good laugh whenever I pay a visit. Try to avoid peak times as in the summer holidays as it is chav central and can be rather intimidating if your not used to it. In conclusion, its well worth a visit if your up for trying something new or fancy a laugh with your mates when they are constantly seen flat out on the ice.

What a fantastic place to spend an afternoon! Blackburn Ice Arena is set near to the town centre next to a retail park. The arena itself is massive and is often home to hockey matches. The arena is open most mornings and afternoons and is approx 5 (inc skate hire) to skate for around 2 1/2 hours. The weekends and school holidays do tend to be quite busy but there is next to nobody there during the week so if your scared of falling over, this is the time to go!
