Post Office Car Insurance

Mine was always going to be difficult case for car insurance .... had lost my licence for two months for "totting up" of speeding points two years ago. I've also made a few claims, including a recent one when I was stationary but my silly daughter opened the back passenger door without looking and hit an oncoming car, doing a fair amount of damage. My usual insurers were going to almost double my premium to over £1000 and several other insurers were either equally expensive or actually refused to insure me. Ouch! I would never have thought of contacting the Post Office, but was told that they did car insurance when I was renewing my vehicle licence. I called them, went through my horrible history, and they saved the day coming up with a quote that was way better than anyone else. Yippee! And thank you Post Office.
