The Concorde 2 is a small but brilliant venue. Its full of atmosphere and everybody is up for a dance. Small bands are always playing and you can properly find some live music down there nearly every night. Another positive is that the gigs are very cheap at a minimum of £4.00, but your soon leave a hole in your pocket if you choose to drink at the bar at £3.50 a pint. Toilets are a little messy, but with flyers of all the bands that have played their, it can be an interesting experience! The Concord 2 is also home to most of Brightons secret gigs as radio 1 supports the venue.
Concorde 2 is one of my favorite venues in Brighton. First of all, gig tickets aren't expensive, about £8 or so. But they catch you out on the drinks; it's about £3.50 a pint, which is by far too expensive, however once you have a few down you neck, it doesn't matter!
The toilets always seem to have a flooded floor, which isn't too good when you're wearing white shoes. However, they always tend to host smaller less known bands, which is good. But after about 2 months of seeing them there, you hear them all over the radio E.g. The Kooks.
Overall, a nice small venue, where you can sit by the bar whilst listening to the music, or going into the main hall and have a good dance to it as well.

The Concorde 2's setting on the beach front is quite lovely, and the majority of concerts I've been to there have been equally good. The drink prices are in all honesty a complete joke (over 3 pound for most drinks), but the music provided and atmosphere is always well worth the entrance fee. The toilets are a bit grotty, but overall the venue isn't too bad, they host good bands, and the actual venue isnt too bad either.
