We walked past this place a couple of times before we went in because it was so busy, but in the end we couldn't resist the smell. Plus the fact that it is busy to us meant it must be serving good food!

Have to say the pasties weren't the cheapest we have ever had but they were very tasty and had just the right amount of pepper and flavouring, and the meat to veg ratio was great. Some pasties are so disappointing with only a little meat in but these were packed to the brim.

We also order a cup of tea each it was so lovely to have a large teapot which gave us both two cups each plus extra hot water when we asked so my partner could squeeze a third one out as he does like to get value for money! The staff were really friendly and helpful.

There was a nice selection of different pasties from traditional cornish to steak and stilton and cheese and vegetable. They also sold rolls and baguettes and baked potatoes.

I called into this pasty shop last Saturday at 5.35pm just for a much-needed cup of tea, with my mother. The staff could not have been more friendly and welcoming, pointing out very politely that they closed at 6, but giving no indication that they wished us to hurry at all. When the tea arrived it was hot, strong, delicious and plenty of it, being served in a huge tea-pot just for the two of us.

But what really impressed me was the yummy sounding range of home-made pasties on offer as well as baguettes, jacket potatoes and all sorts of other snacks and savories, along with pastries, cakes and other delights. The place was well lit, welcoming and friendly with very smiley and helpful staff.

Nest time I'm in Tavistock I'll definitely be going back there to try one of those pasties!

Deservedly very busy cafe in the centre of town, huge range of Pasties, jacket potatoes and paninis, pretty reasonable, very good for lunch or just a coffee when visiting Tavistock for the day.
