Empire Direct is an electrical store. They offer TVs to Fridges to Hi-fis. The store is located with a car park outside and right next door there is Currys which offers the same sort of products as Currys but the difference between the two is that Empire Direct is a little better presented and the staff at Empire Direct know much more about the products and know what they are talking about.
Empire Direct are happy to show you about all the different products and give you a good demo of everything.
The prices are reasonable but not special however i believe they offer a 5% student discount which could be useful for expensive items.

The premises that were taken over by this retailer have for some reason always been occupied by electrical wholesalers. Indeed, it was previously Scottish Power and then Powerhouse and, quite strangely, I have bought kitchen appliances from each one, even though I have shopped around extensively. That really does seem a bit spooky, but it was obviously partly due to the fact that their prices were very keen and that I also like this small retail park due to its accessibility. It has always been easy to park here and it is still free to genuine shoppers. Unfortunately, there has been some abuse of this facility by non-shoppers and so a pay and display system has been introduced to combat this. If you are looking for a change from the Currys or Comets of this world, then you will find a huge range of electrical items here and in my experience you will not be disappointed with the service.
