Very happening and exciting bar at the weekends. Its in the trendy area of Greek Street so is often full of 'city' types. Its very expensive on a weekend but in the week they sometimes have drinks offers. The atmosphere is lively and relaxed and they play decent house music.

Located on the popular and fashionable Greek Street, Prohibition fits in well with the surrounding bars and restaurants. Like its neighbouring bars, Prohibition is up-market and expensive, generally full of middle aged business men flashing their cash.....don't let all that put you off though because Prohibition is actually a really nice bar. It has a good range of cocktails, drinks and shots and a great atmosphere with a variety of music to suite everyone. What's more is that it's great for going for a few drinks after a meal at one of the many restaurants on Greek Street.
It's not a typical student place, but maybe that's what you're looking for....in which case it's perfect. I found it refreshing to be in a bar that wasn't dominated by girls with next to nothing on and groups of guys only out for one thing. Try it out, even if only for one night (anymore and your bank balance might be a little damaged!)

A nice bar, with good music and a good atmosphere, but not a student place, full of professionals with bulging wallets, and the prices are too expensive too, but for one night its good. My friend also hired out a section of it and had her 21st birthday party there, which went well and was very enjoyable.

Not particularly student friendly - the drinks are expensive and have somewhat priced students out the market. However, the club itself is nice and the music tends to be good and varied on different nights. If you fancy somewhere different then give it ago, but personally I wouldn't make a habit of going regularly as it would be detrimental to my bank!

Pretty pricey really. But worth it. Only seen it really busy or practically empty though, and it's a little eery when it's empty so bring your own crowd. It's on Greek Street, which means that you can go there for pre-dinner drinks. The decor's recently been changed and it's quite different to anywhere else in Leeds.

the range of cocktails avaliable here is amazing! they are however quite expensive so its no wonder mainly buisness people go here and not really any students. The food is great, and the service was really good with very friendly and fun bar and waiting staff.

Prohibition is a bar and resteraunt on Greek Street ( my preferred area of town!) It specialises in cocktails and loads of different flavours of shots!
The day menu is available from 12 noon, and it does offer reasonably priced good food. A slightly more expensive evening menu is then available later on.
The decor is quite dramatic, with dark reds and jet blacks creating a seductive atmosphere!
Your most likely to find buisnessy types in here after they have finished work, and quite a few locals at the weekends, who are ready to splash the cash on a nigh t out!

Prohibition is an upmarket cocktail bar on Greek Street in the resteraunt district of Leeds. This bar is really really popular with the upwardly mobile buisness types and so you will inevitably have to queue for the bar, its definatley worth the wait though as the cocktails are unique, well priced and really great tasting. You can book an area for a party or social event and even get table service.

A really nice bar in Leeds city centre on the popular Greek Street. Being opposite my favourite restaurant (Akhbars) is a winning combination in my books and Prohibition is worth a visit. It serves a huge range of cocktails which all all around £5-6.... it even had ice cream cocktails which are almost a meal in themselves but amazingly yummy!!! I have had some really good nights in this bar. Beware its is very popular and is heaving on weekend evenings. Maybe try it in the week when there are very few people there and the service is excellent.
