I like Coolings wine bar, it can be a bit on the expensive side for both food and drinks, the staff are always friendly and there is always a good bunch of people in there.

Quite a nice location on the quaint Gandhi Street, just round the corner from the Cavern making it quite a nice place for a pre-drink (if a tad expensive)There are a few seats outside (although it's still non-smoking since the ban) on Gandhi Street, a very nice place to sit and watch as people walk by!

Stylish bar, located on Gandy street but a little bit pricey for the area (bearing in mind it's surrounded by student bars). Very clean and flashy and the staff have a good sense of humour! You can also hire downstairs for private functions. It was a little busy last time I went and it took a little while for me to get served, but hey no one's perfect!

this bar is located in John Gandy street a very pretty cobbled street. Coolings is a small quaint bar, nicely decorated, and boasting a large range of cocktails and other special drinks.it has a downstairs but i find it really cholostrophobic, there a no windows and if you are tall then you have no chance of standing up right. The staff are friendly, and if you go in the day the menu is satisfyingly well priced. With freshly made salads available at the buffet bar.

A really great little bar to go for a quite drink in the evening or have a civilized drink during the day when they place a couple of small tables out the front of the bar on Gandy Street, which has a magical / Harry Potter feel to it, so is a lovely place to sit with a good cup of coffee in hand. The downstairs bar is a converted wine cellar and has a great feel to in the evenings, a bit hazardous if you're tall like me, but it all adds to the feel of the place. Reasonable prices, great atmosphere both in the lower and ground floor bars, a big thumbs up from me!

A really great pub to go to for a few quiet drinks. Coolings is a trendy wine bar on Ghandy Street, with two floors and a tiny patio area out on the street. A nice place to go for a cup of coffee in the afternoon, or for a glass of wine in the evening; Coolings is a friendly and stylish place to go. Unsurprisingly, the prices are not cheap, but the atmosphere is excellent.Bar staff are exceptionally friendly, and service is efficient.

excellent food and fantastic atmosphere. With two floors the basement being a converted wine cellar with the stone arches still in tact it has a great feel to it especially in the evening. It is also a great spot for lunch with reasonably priced, well made and delicious food, whether it be a baguette, a choice from the salad bar or meat from the carvery. The drinks are more expensive than some of the other bars in Exeter but they are not unreasonable in any way.
