Absolutely fascinating!

Richard Bizley (the artist and owner of the gallery) was born profoundly deaf and has always been fascinated by art, model making and the natural sciences. His website www.bizleyart.com houses a great galley of his exquisitely detailed paintings and also has a detailed Biography where you can read about Richards inspirations and gain an insight into his condition of synaesthesia, "I am able to 'hear' things that I see in the form of noises in my head." Richard is a fellow of the International Association of Astronomical Artists and his paintings have been published in various magazines and books. He uses specialist acrylics and achieves a 3D effect through his unique style of painting and airbrush application.

There are five main categories of art: Contemporary; Earthly Scenes; Science Fiction; Prehistoric and Astronomy and a section for his models.

The gallery is pleasant and Richard is very friendly, and the website is definately worth a look as his work truly is exceptional, I especially love his 'Earthly Scenes, his work with water is beautiful.
