There has been a massive investment and upgrade in both the gym, with a vast amount of brand new equipment, and in the changing rooms, with new lockers, tiling and showers. A big improvement in those areas. I only wish my tennis was going through a big improvement too, but sadly, no.

The Riverside Club has both positive and negative qualities. The grounds are lovely, lots of tennis courts (both inside and out) but booking can be a problem. The gym is spacious with good machinery and both the pool and jacuzzi are lovely. What i think lets the club down most is the bar and its service, Food can often be expensive and have a long waiting time. Staff can be hit and miss, some are great and go out of their way to help, others act as if they could not care less! Parking can also be a bit of a nightmare

Bar prices have increased quite a bit. A small cappuccino went up last week from £1.80 to £2.10 and it's not actually that good On the plus side, Hugh has made a big difference to the restaurant service and menus

one of the (only) 3 ladies loo which also happens to be the only disabled loo in the changing room is out of order and is constantly out of order - this time for a month. It's infuriating

it's lunchtime (only one o'clock) and they've run out of brown bread for my toast and no lucozade lemon sport drink! It's a disaster which when it happens once it's ok but all the time?!

I have only entered this once and altyhough it is very clean and bright and up to date with all the best equipment, I couldn't help leaving feeling a little undervalued and disappointed

Riverside Esporta is a fantastic facility let down by its lack of maintenance. The club is set amongst fields giiving a special holiday feel to a club in Northwood. The facilties consist of 24 tennis courts, both inside and out, a large swimming pool alongside a family pool, a large state of the art gym, studio rooms for classes such as pilates and step. There is also a creche, a restaurant and indoor golf. Why with such a fabulous place do members have to put up with such poor overall standards of matinenance: - indoor tennis courts are being ruined by water pouring through the roof - this a problem since the club was opened. Rats are in evidence in the gardens next to the outdoor eating area. Levels of cleaning in the studios and changing rooms are variable. Outdoor tennis courts are not regularly brushed or cleared of litter. I could go on.The management know of these problems but always appear to be fire fighting rather than putting in place a proper rolling maintenance programme.

I have been a member of this club for 12 years and I both love it and am infuriated by it at the same time
