Londis is so handy for students living in Richardson Road/Castle Leazes/Marris House, as it is often hard to get to supermarkets when you are a student. Although i wouldn't recommend it for your weekly big shop, as the prices aren't exactly cheap. Saying that, they do have some great alcohol deals on most of the time, which is always handy for a poor student! So overall good if you need a snack/revision break just wander up to Londis for your fix!
What a life saver Londis has been over the past year. I use to live in castle leazes during my first year at uni, and i regularly trecked to Londis to grab a bar of chocolate and a magazine. They also had great discounts on pizza and ice cream and a range of alternative products, making it ideal for students.
Extremely useful little shop to students living at both Richardson Road and Castle Leazes Halls. Although not the cheapest place to buy provisions this shop is perfectly located to pick up those little items or if you are feeling too lazy to trek into town. Well located, well run, clean and the staff are always friendly. Watch out for the special offers shelf too, there are some great bargains to be found.
Perfect for lazy students living at Richardson Road who can't be bothered to trek into town to get their chocolate fix, Londis has all the basics you may need as well as good offers such as the 2 for £5 on Ben & Jerry's. It may be a little more pricey than the big supermarkets, but the convenience of the location really makes up for it.
This place is absoloute heaven if you live at Ricky Road. 1.) It should be where all taxi's arrive to as it is world reknowned!2.) It's just great and oh so appropriate(almost too appropriate for daily chocolate binges3.) ben and jerrys is always on offer...i like this place! 4.) it is a little pricy for students but, well, gold is more pricy that plastic!
i lived at ricky road in my first year, and it is a stepping stone away. although its relatively small, it seems to have everything you need, alcohol, meat, vegetables at reasonable prices. although its not as cheap as the big stores in newcastle, it does offer some particular great deals on some items such as BOGOF on pizzas etc. very handy if you live around the area, if you peckish
This shop is really convenient for everyone living in Ricky Road or Marris house. They sell pretty much everything you could need, including lots of lovely cheap wine!! The prices are quite expensive but you pay for the convenience of it really. The special offers and promotions they have are always really good as well.
Londis is a small shop selling groceries located on Morpeth Street in Spital Tongues, Newcastle upon Tyne. It is located very close to my halls of residence (Castle Leazes) and is very useful for stocking up on good such as alcohol prior to a night out for instance or simply for buying something at the last minute for supper. It is very helpful as it saves having to walk into town and has some good 2 for 1 deals too.
this shop is amazing. it is located right next to the main halls of residence, richardson road and castle leazes. it has everything you need, fruit and veg, cereal, frozen stuff, alcohol! i go several times a week, even though its quite expensive its worth it for the convenience.
Londis is probably the best place to go for food if you don't fancy heading into town, the prices are a bit more expensive than supermarkets for most things however there are often deals on which basically dictates what you eat! I think every time I have been this year there has been some sort of deal on frozen pizzas!
extremely handy for the students of newcstle university living at Richardson Road and Maris house halls of residence. The shop doesn't have the biggest choice but it has enough for a student to get by with good deals on things such as pizzas. The somerset cider which they sell is good for getting drunk cheaply but also fairly ghastly.....be aware!!.
This shop has everything the average student needs, which is handy as it is located right beside the richardson road student flats. the prices are sometimes a bit steep, but it is worth it because of the proximity to the accomodation
This is the best shop in the world. it is located right next to richardson road flats and marris house! it is great for conveinence foods and always has good offers for the students.
Londis is God. I don't think a day goes by when I dont have to make a trip for Londis. Even thogh it may not be very big it has all the essentials you need. Birthday cards, cereal, bread, pizzas, drinks, meat, tins and of course alcohol and all are very reasonably priced! Without Londis, the students would be lost.
Londis is a very helpful small shop near to student accomadation, it supplies the basics such as bread canned food, fruit and veg. There is also alcohol available at a reasonable price and due to it's position so close to student accomodation, 2 minute walk, it is easier to visit than the supermarkets which are futher away.
This particular Londis is located in the midst of 3 Newcastle University Student accomodations, its a must go for students looking to stock up on vital foods and reasonably priced alcohol. The shop is a bit on the small side but has all the essentials if you are looking for a quck shop and are unable to make it to one of the larger supermarket chains.
