This was my favourite place to go when I was little. I hadn't been for ages and went a couple of weeks ago - I still love it. Basically you cook your food yourself no a grill in the middle of your table. It is really fun and they also do great cocktails!

A great restaurant for the family, as the kids will love cooking their own food. The atmosphere is very nice, the staff are always helpful. But as you cook your food yourself, many think there's not much point. After being once, the novelty of cooking your food wears off. All good quality food, reasonably priced. Great for a night out with kids. Recommended.

Char bar is a nice place to go out for a meal and has a great atmosphere, the food is a little pricey but its good for a works meal as you can have a laugh while cooking your own food. good service and always with a smile

To be totally honest, i dont want to go out and pay high prices for a meal when i have to cook it myself! i would stay at home to cook and it would be much cheaper. also, the drinks are not cheap and the staff arent particularly welcoming. I can appreciate that this is a good novelty for children as they do not often get to cook, but it does seem a little rediculous =[

I have never liked Charbar purely because if I am spending money on a meal I expect a qualified chef to cook me something superb. The food despite not being cooked for you was still expensive as well and the staff didn't make me feel particularly at home there either.

Charbar is a restaurant expereince like no other, you cook your own food! there is no complaining the food not good and how long its takes because its you going the cooking. It is a really good compect and many people have loved the experiance that they have gain in the Charbar.

A really novel concept thats done pretty well for itself. The food tastes as good as you can cook so its your own fault if it tastes badly cooked. Aside from that the menu offeres you some interesting choices but its mainly meat and chicken. The restaurant does offer a wide selection of cocktails too, both for adults and children, as such its a very family friendly place. But keep an eye on your kids and that grill!

The charbar is a unusual and strange restaurant i have never really seen the point in going out to cook your own food and then paying extra for it but oh well. This is a nice restaurant and the food is as good as u cook it, it depend's how u like u food. It is in a good location in gunwharf quays on the top fllor and it is situated right next to the cinema so u can always go wathc a film before you meal or you can go and watch a film after you meal it depend's what your preference it. The staff are of a good quality and a high quality and the service is pretty quick, so overl all it is recomended for a family night out or a parties night out.

CharBar boasts a sleek largely wooden interior, ranging from modern furnishings to flooring, while the walls are beautifully tiled with autumnal shades but the main feature of this restaurant are the small BBQ grills set within the black marble-top tables, presenting diners with an opportunity for barbecuing their own meals.
