An incredibly classy venue overlooking the waterfront, which is perfect for a different kind of eating and drinking experience. It has an eclectic and hip atmosphere, perfect for a more upmarket occassion.

situated in a great location right on the front of the harbour. Watershed is an independent cinema screening some great movies which never got released. You can also get some cracking food at lunchtime all for a reasonable price.

an ecclectic place situated on the riverside. The watershed hosts independent films, and happened to screen my university projects. You can have a good priced lunch and go out for a night, as there is a bar with loads of seating!

Watershed Media Centre was founded in 1982 out of the ruins of two Victorian warehouses. Since the regeneration of Bristol's harbourside Watershed has been a real pioneer in the world of film & art.It was Britains first dedicated Media centre. And is still the most respected in the country. I absolutely love this place. As an ex-film student my appreciation for Watershed grew over a number of years. Watershed is right in the heart of the harbourside area, which is in itself a great place to go out.To the outside world Watershed is primarily a cinema, screening nothing but the best in independant film from right across the globe. Here you will find all the really original films that sadly never get a screening elsewhere. But Watershed is also a charity, amongst other things, and does an awful lot to help enrich Bristol's already lively culture. It holds exhibitions of all the latest animations, short films, video art installations. You name it.It runs training courses for would-be directors, animators, editors, photographers - everyone who wants to gain a foothold in the industry. As well as all this, Watershed also has a cafe/bar with an excellent menu.Plenty of vegetarian choices, sophisticated menu options right down to your standard Full English for £3.50Whether you just want a quiet place to sit and have lunch with a friend, or a lively place to watch a thought provoking film with a few drinks after. This is the place to be.The Caf/Bar is open daily. Mon: 1100hrs - 2300hrs / Tue - Thu: 0930hrs - 2300hrs / Fri: 0930hrs - midnight / Sat: 1000hrs - midnight / Sun: 1000hrs - 2230hrs.Food is served from: Mon: 1030hrs 2100hrs, Tue: 0930hrs to 2100hrs, Wed Fri: 1030hrs 2200hrs, Sat: 1000hrs 2200hrs, Sun:1000hrs 1900hrsTeas and coffees are available until 2230hrs Mon - Sat and until 2200hrs on Sun.
