A really great place to take the family on a summer day out. There is a lot to offer such as nature walks, a fishing pond, sports faciliies, a large paddling pool and a mini train you can take rides on. Great place for a picnic.

This is a really nice huge park for children to run aorund in there are many differnt things to do normally every year they do a massive firework display for free its lovely to watch and the atmopshere is great. There lots of grass to have picnics on and ther is a little paddling pool for the children to splash in. There are advneture parks all around and a paddle boat lake which is quite fun. Its a lovely free day out with the family!

This park is quite large and situated near the University. There are different parts of the park including a medium sized golf course, a pavilion for cricket, and a pitch and putt area. From this area there is a walk to the other side of the park which includes a centre for arts and crafts which provide classes for children in the summer. There is a play area for children and a small sahllow lake that has been used in the past for boat rides but is now home to many ducks and swans! There is a centre for different sports and also a large paddling pool for children which tends to get very busy during the summer months. There is plenty of parking space that has to be paid for. There is alot to do here, providing the weather is nice!

It can get really busy on hot days though! the park grounds are quite extensive, and there are tennis courts and netball courts available for hire. There is a small orangery cafe for refreshemnets and an ice cream hut. There are also boats available to hire on the lake. These are quite expensive but are great fun!

Markeaton Park has something for everyone, the Mundy Play Centre is good if you have children, as it has a large paddling pool, bouncy castle, boating lake and playgrounds which can easily keep children entertained for hours. Or if you would prefer there is pitch and putt, a cafe and gardens for the older generations. Markeaton is a lovely place to visit at all times of the year, as the scenery is picturesque.

This is a great park located close to the centre of derby with many amenities and attractions. The park is very spacious with lots of places to chillout and relax. The facilities include, tennis courts, pitch and putt golf course, football pitches, 2 adventure playgrounds, paddling pool, go-kart track mini-golf, and donkey rides. Its a great place to bring the children and there is many thingsd for them to do.
