As a student, i do a big shop at this tesco ever couple of weeks, and the cost is always really reasonable. They sell most things, although the shop is so huge that you can easily get confused! I would advise against eating in the instore cafe, as i have done this twice and have never been satisfied. The only other low point is that it is out of town. There are some conveniently placed bus stops though, so it's just a matter of not buying so much that you can't get it home!
If you have the oppurtunity, do not go at busy times - i.e the weekend as the place will be full of trollies which in turn are full of crying kids - and that never makes an easy shopping situation.I really wish they would stop moving stuff about (I think they may have now) but during the changeover every week we went back, everything had moved to a new location (new isles, not just down a shelf) and that added time to the shopping which was quite frustrating.A massive store however, you'll almost always find everything you need - except for their lack of stocking up on the £1 kilogram pasta bags with are a complete bargain and go very quickly.
This place is massive, and therefore quite difficult to find your way around. BUT you can literally find everything here, its well priced. Look out for the bargain ndeals on DVD's
This store has so much, it's difficult to say what is not in stock. And of course there are the web based offers and services. (We bought our washing machine from Tesco Online, good price and has lasted a long time!)Particularly interesting (to some) is the increased allocation of space to toys.To Tesco's reputation for cheapness has been added the "Finest" range. Now a more complete store. But hard to feel warm hearted towards it. Subject to press criticism, but "everybody" makes use of it. Was it one eighth of UK household expenditure goes through their tills?
this place is massive! and there is aisle upon aisle of great offers! you can pick up anything from a tv to a cup of tea! there is loads of parking spaces, and the petrol station is next to the supermarket!
Do I have to declare that I've got shares in Tesco. The best £200 quid I've ever spent.Cheaper than Sainsburys.Good range of telly's.Petrol and clubcard points.Asimov says "don't go there, get it delivered."
This remodelled Tesco is vast although they don't sell much that was different from before just much more of it. I sometimes find myself standing in the aisles, in a semi trance looking at the screens looping Tesco ads - there is something very 1984 about the whole thing. They seem to somehow sap you of your basic neural function and make you buy more. Tesco will take over the world eventually. Having said that - we all have to go from time to time.
This store is now huge, and I think too huge... it is probably better once you know where everything is but the first couple of times it seems to take forever! The quality of their fruit and veg seems to have deteriorated and they seem to be cheaper for the wrong reasons! I have tried the shopping late to avoid the crowds but then you find they are busy stacking empty shelves so then you can't get all the stuff you went in for so then you have to make another trip - not good! It does however, have a good selection of oriental ingredients.
This is the best tescos in Exeter. If you have your own car try and get out here to do your shopping. Its a massive store with a huge selection and cheap prices. It has a massive car park as well as a large recycling area for your rubbish. BUT dont go on a saturday, dont do it. You could be in the store for over 3 hours, the queues on the weekend are ridiculous! However its open 24hrs so there is plenty of choice on when you want to go.
