Thorpe Park is great and has a lot of scary, but fun rollercoasters! One of them launches at 80 mph and goes 200 foot high! There is expensive restaurants and food, so make sure you bring you own food, the service is brilliant and it has great arcades and fun activities. The rides are such fun and there also aimed at a range of ages, from young toddlers to old people!
Well i am a fan of themeparks, and as much as i enjoy coming to thorpe park every year, i dont think it compares to alton towers. They are many rides to choose from, as well as many rollercoasters. The queues arent to bad either, and the admission prices are cheaper than those at alton towers.
I visited thorpe park only the other weeek! Apart from the weather - WHAT A GREAT DAY!! The ques were a bit of a beast.. especially for the thriller rides... but well worth the wait!!! Stealth - WELL RECOMMEND IT!!! Take your swimmers if its a good day.. cuz there are some little swimming pools which are pretty cool!!
I love this park. Fantastic rides and fun water areas. Thorpe park has over 10 rollercoasters, the best is stealth which launches at 80 mph. If it starts raining what are you going to do, I know, you can go inside to the arcades and have a quick few games. This Theme Park will give you a fantastic day, there are kids and adult rides. The rides are just so amazing, safe, and of course fun. The Decorations are good and the theme park has a water lake going all around it. It has a ginormas water ride, that you will get absolutely drenched on. There are restauraunts, Eg, Pizza Hut, Kfc and Burger King.
Love this place! if you go on a warm day bring your swimming costume as the water area is as soon as you arrive in the park with massive slides! Best ride would have to be stealth, make sure the ride is full otherwise you won't make it over the loop and you will roll back down! (its not dangerous though... happened to my mate!) i would bring food with you as it is reallly expensive here! o and if you go on the water flume ride prepare to get very very VERY wet!!! as the water goes out then in and rains down on your head!!
Thorp park is altogether a brilliant day out for everyone. It contains some of the best white knuckle thrills in England from the record braking 'Colossus' to the breath taking Stealth. There are also a wide range of family rides, water rides kids rides and arcades with a large amount of different restaurants and coffee shops to enjoy a break from the rides. The park is very popular and therefore queuing times are very long and the fast track ticket machines are often closed so this will take up a lot of your day.
Rite i'm am a huge fan of Rollercoasters! I have been there for many years, since about 2002 when Colossus was new! The rides there are really great especially Stealth which really made my day when it opened! I have been 2 Thorpe Park twice when Sleath was closed and 3 times when i was open! I have some really good points about Nemesis Inferno, at the start you go through a tunnel filled with mist and it goes on with cool inversions. Now Colossus- the world most inversions in a rollercoaster, i think i rode that one about 50 times within all of my visits. To prove that i get around the themepark quick is that i have a disabled band for deafness, so i don't have to qeue up! But the bits about Thorpe Park i dislike is the X-No-Way-Out, it is a very boring ride as it keeps braking as it goes through the tracks. Please keep up the good rides and i can't wait until the new rollercoaster comes out in 2009!
It has definatly improved over the years! i loved stealth, especially as when i was on it it didn't gather enough speed and so it actually came back down instead of going over! loved the water ride too got absolutely drenched (and the clothes drying machines are a very good idea espicially as its england so they aren't likely to dry in the sun!)
Having visited Thorpe Park after Alton Towers, it had a lot to live up to if it was to win my vote. Unfortunately I just couldn't enjoy it as much. However I couldn't get enough of Stealth. It's a fantastic ride but the only ride I found worth queueing for. It is a very small park but in a way good as it was easy to get around. I definately wouldn't knock as a place to avoid.
Thorpe Park is a great day out if a little pricey. The park seems to go from strength to strength with the introduction of Samurai and Stealth both of which are extremely enjoyable rides. Navigation is simple with the aid of the park maps and food and drink stations are never far away. I will say that if you are looking for something more substantial than fast food I would bring my own food as coffee and pizza gets a bit tedious. You can prepare to get wet at Thorpe Park but it is easy to avoid the wet rides. The area does seem susceptible to litter even though there are monitors and there aren't many park attendants round it would seem, not when you need them anyhow. I will say that it is a fantastic day for teenagers and adults a-like but with minimal fun for juniors I wouldn't recommend taking younger children.
I have been to thorpe park quite a few times now, it is a really good theme park and theres nothing wrong with it but i just preffer blackpool pleasure in birtish theme parks. Thorpe park doesnt seem to have as much of a buzzing atmophere and not as big a variety of rides.
I love thorpe park! It ha sthe best rides! Nemesis, collosus, stealth!!! i go fairly regualrly because you can always get great deals on entranco to the park . A really greta day out and theres stuff to do even idf you dont like rides!
This a big theme park with lots of rollercoasters for thrill seekers! The staff are friendly and chatty and the park is generally clean. Food and tickets are quite expensive but the experience makes this well worth it! At peak times the park can get quite busy and queues can be massive but this can be solved by fast track tickets however this raises prices signiricantly
Thorpe Park is my favourite theme park! It has a great range of rides from tame teacups to the terrifying stealth! It is often quite crowded so going in term time or a day when the forecast isn't great can be an advantage. Prices are quite high but there are often deals with various club cards etc from places like Tesco which offer 2 for 1 deals and there are good prices for big groups such as schools. Another option is to pay more for a fast track pass so you skip the queues however this is significantly more expensive. The park is big enough for you to want to stay all day and longer but not so big you leave disappointed you didn't make it on some of the rides. With in park fast food chains and various shops this is an amzing day out with either family or friends.
Great theme park, it used to be third behind Alton Towers and Chessington, however it slowly added more "white knuckle" rides and has become the Uk's (in my opinion) joint leading theme park alongside Alton Towers. It has a big choice of rides for eeveryone, fright nights are great and the food always hits the spot.
Although i do like thorpe park, it doesnt compare to blackpool pleasure beach or alton towers. The rides are good but there nothing to special, and the size of the queues are ridiculous.
I normally like thorpe park however the queues can be hideous and it can be very busy. You probably spent 20 times longer queuing for a ride than the time spent on it. Last time I went I did not have a good time it was terrential rain and most of the good rides were broken down but choose a time when its sunny and everyones at school and the rides are open it can be great fun.
I love thorpe park! There are so many fun things to do, my favourite ride is The Tidal Wave, which you get absaloutely soaked in. There are some great places to stop and eat and some tamer rides for those with a dodgy stomach. I would go again and again.
This theme park is located just off the M25 motor way and so it is quite easy to get to. It has a good range of fast and scary and more gentler rides, and the usual fast food outlets all over the park. it has my favourite rollarcoaster, Collusus, and also some more water rides, a log flume and some water slides too, which we went on even in october, we got quite cold. its a fun day out, but be prepared for the expensive prices.
Thorpe Park is a great theme park as it has a large number of rides for all ages. My favourite has to be stealth even though there is always such a long queue and I would definately recommend visiting Thorpe Park some time in the near future.
Personally my favourite theme park in Britain. The rides are faster and bigger than ones from other parks in britain and are definately more geared towards thrillseekers. There are usually lots of offers you can find to get cheaper entry if you can get a group of people to go.
not quite as good as alton towers but very close and gettng better each year. being smaller than alton towers you spend less of your time walking about looking for rides. there is plenty to eat insdie however this is all reasonably expensive. entrey is expeneisve but then again i would never pay full price there are always deals and reductions in prices.
there is even a beach an a arcade inside! a great day out!
there is even a beach an a arcade inside! a great day out!
I absolutely love Thorpe Park! The new rides are awesome and the queues are long but you get that at any theme park. A great fun day out for anyone who has a head for heights and speed! Rides for all ages too.
thorpe park is on par with alton towers. however i do feel alton towers has better rides. thorpe park is easier to get to and they have a easy shutle bus from te train station which i use every time i go. there frequent and never to busy. the rides are very good and there always building something new. so everytime you go there is something new to go on. however last time i went there were a few ride closures.
I love going to thorpe park every summer. The thrill and excitement never wears off no matter how many times you go. The entry fee is getting a bit expensive but there are always loads of special offers that you can find before you go. it is great that there is something for all ages there and its so easy to get two. I never remember to bring a change of clothes though so i do have to walk around with wet clothes a lot of the time
This is an excellent theme park for people of all ages and is well worth a day out. IT has activities for children too small for the rides, as well as a growing number of adventure rides for those thrill seekers out there. More of a family day out than other theme parks and the prices reflect this. The grounds are large and always in good condition. Excellent day trip!
Thrilling day out whether with a group of friends or the family. Definately recommend the new Stealth ride. It's a good feeling once you have conquered it! A range of rides for the adventurous and not so daring.
This is a grea theme park and it has loads of rollercoasters. It can get busy so to avoid queues you should go on days when it is wet or go outside of school holidays. Always avoid weekends.
This is one of the best theme parks in he UK, with ne newest ride "Stealth" reaching 0-60 in under 3 seconds this defiantly is a thrill-seekers heaven. the park is large with numerous places to eat and drink. great for a family day out, but with children over the age of about 10. The park can often get busy so is best to go in the school term
a great day out, lots of special offers available so you don't have to pay full price to get in. check the group offers. the rides are all fun and adrenaline filled, and ther is also a farm and such for the less brave type. kids rides are available too, so a great day out for the family. recommended.
Now as a lover of all that is log flume - i have to say get your ass' to Thorpe Park - cause this is one ride you cannot afford to miss. The place is great for bth families and us big kids who just cant turn down the thrill of the rollercoaster. A good day out.
One of the UK's best theme parks, along with Alton towers. It's full of fun rides for all ages, not just the thrilling roller coasters! It's the perfect summer day out for all the family; and your time there isn't complete without a ride on 'Tidal Wave', sure to get you absolutely soaked which is brilliant in on a hot july day! The park isn't too expensive, as theme parks go, and is definitely recommended.
Really great day out for the family, boasting some really exhilarating rollercoasters and water rides. The park staff are very friendly and the overall atmosphere of the park is very good. I recommend the 'Tidal Wave' on a hot day for a quick but fun way for a cool down.
Thorpe Park is a fantastic theme park in a very central position in the UK. With rides that range from huge and scary to tame and teency, its a great place to take children as well as adults. The rides tend to sway a little more towards the large and scary with the famous 'X no way out' and the notorious highest log flume in europe. I particularly recommend the rapids as they're fun for everyone.
A great day out for the family and friends! Lots of different rides, some better than others but all very exciting! There are lots of fast food restaurants around to have a quick snack in between rides to make it a good day out. I would avoid going there in rainy weather as there will be lots of rides closed. Overall a great place and would definately recommend going there.
i went here for my friends birthday a few weeks ago. The rides scared the living daylights out of me. I would recommend going when it is not raining though as queueing in the rain is a miserable experience.
In my opinion, this is one of the best theme parks in the country. The rides never fail to dissapoint and you are always in for a quality day out when visiting Thorpe Park. It is relatively easy to get to whether travelling by car, train or coach making it very accessable to the public. The park caters for all kindsd of people with rides for younger children as well as exilherating rides for teenagers and adults.Thorpe park also have many facilities located at all areas across the park making your day out run without a hitch.
Personally I love theme parks and this is one of my faves - all the rides are great, especially the log flume and river rapids, which are my favourite! Not bad prices either which is always a bonus!
There are some great rides here but this queues can take hours and I have often only been on four rides when I've been here. However, if you go on a school day or another day that is not expected to be busy, it is well worth it.
Thorpe park is a fantastic theme park for families! It offers a wide range of rides to suit everyone! There are small rides, slow rides and fast rides for those who love a thrill. Make sure you get there extremely early to avoid queues. Recommended
Great place to go and have fun with you friends or famerly, there is a great rang of ride to have fun on. the food and drink prices can be a bit steep, so i would say to take a pick nick with you to save some expence the staff are friendly and willing to have fun.
A really good place to go for a day out! The park is of a good size with a nice range of rides for the whole family! It's not too expensive, but the queues can be very long and it can be quite a drag waiting in them! However, they have a new ride every year which is a nice way to keep interest in the park!
Thorpe Park is my favourite theme park - better than Chessington and Alton Towers,I always have a brilliant time on days out here, the water rides are supreme! Nothing beats the classic log flume! If you book tickets online you can get them for 22 per person. If you want a longer stay you can also get a room at the Thorpe hotel. Prices start from 99 for a double room.
This place is a great success story. When i was younger this was not the place to go although at the time people considered it to be an ok day out really the only attraction worth going on was X no way out. However this has changed and as many may have seen with the ad campaigns that thorpe park have had advitising there new rides the place has been greatly updated perhaps to the standard that it can almost rival the great alton towers.
Great day out for everyone! there are plenty of rides, some gentle, some not so gentle but all great fun. There is also many gift shops and places to eat to make it a really fun day! I would avoid it in bad weather though as some rides may close.
Thorpe Park is a great day out! Even though it may seem pretty pricey, you really do have the best time there! With rides for everyone from wet ones to really scary ones to tamer ones, everyone has a blast! It has completly overtaken Chessington World of Adventures which used to be the young persons theme park but now Thorpe Park has come out on top with rides such as Collossus, Tidal Wave and Detonator! It can get very busy though so it is best to go during school term time as otherwise you could end up queing for most of your day!
I am writing having been about 5 times, always during school term times (so there were no queues at all). The rides are now very whiteknuckle in comparison to its old 'Thorpe Farm' children friendly image it had 10 years ago. It has a mixture of cool water rides, and rollercoasters, and most adults will have a fantastic time on the fast paced rides. Food is excellent for a theme park, and whilst always pricey, offers a huge range of choice for lunch, so you'll never be moaning of no choice for grabbing some munchies inside the park. A wealth of new rides have been added over the last few years, so if you can find a special money off entry ticket, pick a day when the kids are at school and go and scream yourself crazy!
Great day out especially if you like rides!!! Fairly cheap entrance fee but worth it. Lots of scary rides but also good ones for kids. Go on Tidal wave last as you won't want to be wet all day! Stealth (the big attraction) was broken each time I went which was annoying but other rides make up for it! Lots of places to eat also. Great value for money. Queues a negative, so go before school holidays.
One of the most thrilling and amazing theme parks to be! with over 24 rides in total...5 roller coasters and 3 water rides...its a great place for a day out with the family...with restaurants and public services available...best time to go is at fright night halloween! with brilliant shows and sites such as Hellsgate and The assylum...all worth the money!
Our of all of the UK's theme park this has to be the most improved in terms of big rides. Over the past few years Europes first 10 loop rollercaoster was added here followed by Europes (at the time) fastest ride Stealth. Entry is expensive but just look around for a special offer and prehaps bring your own food to save money. KFC is the best bet for fast food. Gets very busy in the summer.
A lover of theme parks, this wasn't one of my favourites. There are some great rides yet parks such as alton towers offer more thrilling and advanmced rides than this park. Thought it was a litte expensive for what was on offer.
Having been to Thorpe park various times i have enjoyed myself on all occasions. I have to say if you have kids younger than ten, do not read further and take them to Chessington world of adventures or legoland, the park is not suitable for them. The rides consist of some of the scariest in the world STEALTH a scary rollercoaster that reaches maximum speeds and appears to drop at a vertical angle, if you are a daredevil you will love the rides thorpe park has.Perhaps you would like to experience the world famous COLOSSOS the ten looping rollercoaster. Tickets are extremely pricey at around 30 pounds per adult and not mcuh less for kids. be prepared for a pricey day out. Another bad thing i would like to point out is the queue times. Expect the waiting time to be atleast one hour.Other than that if you are a thrill seeker you must do it, but be prepared to spend a lot. This is a great day out loads of fun and there are some more peaceful rides if you dont fancy high speed looping coasters dont panic there are rides for you to enjoy also
