Facebook is nice, but i dont see the hype about it. I have an account there, but i cannot remember the last time i logged in,so it obviously didnt impress me that much.
I am a Facebook addict. I think it should provide a support network for us addicts. FA (Facebook Anonymous)! Its such a great networking site, much better than any other could hope to be. It provides a free and easy way to get in touch with old school friends and make new friends. The poking can get a bit annoying at times though but the positives of Facebook outweigh the annoying poking and application requests!!
Facebook is the best of the social networks! you can access i at any time. It is convenient and displays and guide you around the website very well. I love it because you can catch up with the past present and future with making new friends in the process.
This is a great site that keeps getting better and better. I find this the best way to organise events and keep in touch with friends that you may have otherwise lost touch with. Its a great site to waste some time if you have it on your hands too with its many applications
A handy social networking site that helps you to stay in touch with people, get back in touch with people, organise events etc. As the site has so many users, you'll probably find that a lot of your friends already have profiles, making it a lot more useful than some of the smaller social networking sites. The 'chat' instant messaging service that was recently added is also good. Having said that, it's easy to waste a lot of time on the site, what with all the groups and applications. I'm pretty doubtful about some of the groups like 'click to feed this child' and the application which claims that if you put their picture in your profile you'll be saving the rainforest. Also not convinced by the 'protest' pages...'we're really angry about this, so we'll sit at our computers, and surprisingly nothing will change.'
I was a real cynic when I was persuaded to join Facebook. I had never really seen the point of social networking sites and despite setting up a page on Myspace, never used it. This has since changed and I have found Facebook to be very useful for arranging social events, without having to go to the trouble of contacting people individually. I can now also keep in touch with high school friends that I would probably otherwise have lost contact with. There was a problem a while back where you'd be inundated with invitations to pointless applications - this seems to have sorted itself out. All in all, even if you're sceptical, at least give it a try and you might be surprised how often you check your page.
This is a great social networking site, which in my opinion is by far superior to its competitors. It is something everyone I know admits to using daily (although we all are on it almost non stop) and wouldnt be able to do without. Its a great way to stay in touch, to keep updated about what people are doing and to organise social events without hassel. There is only one problem with it... it is addictive, and I am completely hooked!
Facebook is a fantastic social networking site, despite being just a little addictive! I joined up shortly after I came to University and I have been hooked ever since! Its a great place to stay in contact with old friends and keeping up with new ones! In my experience it is much better than other social networking sites for example, Bebo and myspace, although it does lack a bit of colour! It recently had a facelift which has made it much easier to use, and it is suitable for all ages to use!
To be honest, if you havent heard of Facebook by now you must have been living under a rock! Its brilliant for staying in touch with people that dont live very close, arranging big nights out or simply to pass hours at a time by stalking various people you know! It keeps you up to date with all the news amongst your friends and now has what seems like a million applications (some good some bad) to keep providing more hours of entertainment!
Facebook is the best social networking I have used yet. It is so easy to decide who you want to view what on your profile. It gives you the chance to add people who you might know, clean profiles with the new update so it isn't spammed with all sorts of rubbish people add to their profiles. You can easily set up groups, fan groups, upload videos, photos and the most famous tool, tagging, which allows you to view photos of a person if they have been tagged in their photos. Personally its my favourite site I have used.
Facebook is great for when you're at uni, to keep in touch with everyone and see everyone's photos. I love the fact you can tag people in them too! I do like the applications, but there are just so many and they become outdated really quickly! I also really like the fact you can create groups of friends and email the group, rather than having to email everyone singularly. Definately worth getting!
Facebook is great, it's simple and to the point.
Although the applications can get annoying - there's no harm in just ignoring them.
I like the way you are unable to add big layouts because it's alot easier to read.
It has the option to set your account to private, which is beneficial to people who don't like others reading about them because they even know them!
The photo tags are good fun but unfortunately you can only add 60 photos per album. If they could increase the amount of images, it would be perfect!

Ok, I am absolutely addicted to this site, and I know for a fact that I am not alone in this. A fantastic way to keep in touch with friends that you may not otherwise and reignite relationships and friendships. Some of the applications and invites to them are a little tedious, but the new addition of facebook chat is awesome. If you are one of few that are not already involved, you soon will be.

Love it! Great way to find out what all your old friends are up to, and also a great way to share photos (and as you can get tagged it means you do not have to scrounge around everyones profiles looking for photos of youself!) The applications its slightly annoying though, I DO NOT WANT TO BE A VAMPIRE! It can also get slightly addictive and without noticing you can spend hours looking through everyones profiles... but then you also realise how small the world is through the awesome "mutual friends" section!

I didn't join facebook for quite a while, after most of my friends at university did. However, I was glad that I gave in, and signed up in the end. It's great for keeping in touch with people, and for sharing photographs. It was so much better before they added all the new applications and in particular the chat function... it means they've scrapped the 'friends online' section, and if we want to chat to people, we've got msn messenger! There are a couple of fun applications like the grafitti, but most of them are just slightly annoying.
When I first heard of facebook, I was skeptical and didn't join until a few weeks into my first term at university. It then proceeded to take over my life. It is so useful as a student to keep in touch with friends, upload pictures and videos of various nights out and plan events. We've now taken to saying that if you're not on facebook, then you don't exist! I preferred the earlier version, which didn't have all the applications cluttering it up, but they are quite fun to play around with. Just make sure that you limit your profile if you're going to put loads of details up!
my favourite website it has actually taken over my life! Its a great place to talk to your friends and upload photos so everyone can see what you have been up to. I dont really like all the additional applications some of them look fun but they make facebook run slow which isn't to great.
Does anyone remember life before facebook? I don't. It is my hompage, a vital part of my daily life that, sad to say, i cannot live without. It is a fairly standard form of communication between me and friends, the best way to organise a party and the only 'official' way of declaring relationships (it's not official unless it's on facebook!). I have become irritated recently with all the pointless applications that have been emmerging and have tried not to become affiliated with them. If only they had never been invented facebook would be perfect!
A great way of keeping in touch with friends and much more private than other sites. Much less fussy than Bebo, Facebook is simple to use and I have never had any problems with this site. I would say it is the best of the social networking sites.
Facebook is a great social networking site, keeping in touch with friends is soooo easy. Id say this is better than any other website for keeping contact with friends but mySpace is for music in my opinion. Facebook has the great facilities such as having groups, startin up events - its cool how you can get the option of attending a event which is cool. All in all a great website, well done to mark zuckerberg.
Brilliant website springs to mind- a great way of storing photos from nights out without filling your computer hard drive- i dont know how the website copes with so much information, but it seems to do it. Only annoying thing was the addition of applications, you find yourself having to delete hundreds of requests off your friends for stupid things like "automan" amongst others. With the addition of the msn messenger like addon it dominates any other social website such as myspace, bebo etc.
This is the perfect site for keeping in contact with friends, however I sometimes find that too much information about people is didplayed. The site is easy to set up and use, and has many different privacy options and applications.
Facebook is a thoroughly useful social networking website and is superior to its competitiors for a number of reasons. There is less advertising and the pages become less cluttered. Photos are easily distributed and the website overall is easier to navigate. I have found my self weened off of Myspace, which i used originally, completely in favour of Facebook and the same has happenend with the majjority of my friends.
A great social networking site. I have been using this one for over a year now and still find it really useful. I have lived abroad for many years and got many friends that live overseas. The fact that they use facebook too makes communication and contact between us just so much easier. The sharing of photos and video's etc is fun as you can see what your friends have been up to (especially those you dont see very often that live abroad). You can leave messages so your friend doesnt have to be online at the same time as you for you to be able to stay in contact. A very fun and user friendly site!
Facebook is only social network site I will go on now. The others are so cluttered with adverts and extra features and many of my friends have made the transition to facebook. The ability to upload and tag photos is very useful as it is a quick and easy way of giving and receiving photos online to your friends. It is also a good tool for keeping in contact with friends especially when you all go to different universities around the country and even the world. I can see it continuing to be a useful way of keeping in touch with people even after university.
Facebook is the best social networking website on the web in my opinion. I find it to be superior to the other rivals such as bebo and myspace and found that most of my friends dont use these any more. I find facebook very useful for looking at photos and for events. Almost young person I know has facebook so it is very useful for keeping in contact with people.
The question 'Are you on Facebook?' is one inevitable question every student will come across during their time at university nowadays. This ever growing popular social networking site was something that didn't exist only a few years back, and even when it did, it was solely avaliable for university students. Since then, it has grown public where anyone can become a member of it, despite a huge online protest group against this motion. Members create a profile page, which has a profile picture, groups they've joined, applications they've added, and other information on it. The addition of applications was a recent addition, but many users have since said it was looking more like MySpace each time. Members add friends they know, upload pictures in albums of 60photos max., and can spend many hours on this site. However, there are some people who haven't joined Facebook, but the majority of students have. Its a great social networking site, and something new was needed after Bebo and MySpace.
One of many social networking sites available on the web, Facebook is probably the most widely used among university students. A common question of someone you've just met/bumped into after not seeing them for years is 'have you got facebook?' or it's often just assumed, e.g. 'I'll add you on facebook'. It's a great way to keep in touch with friends that you don't see that often without having to spend money phoning or texting them, and the 'news feed' provides an easy way to keep track of who's up to what these days. It's also a good way to get to know people that you've just met better. One of my main uses for the site is to post photos, and 'tagging' allows anyone who is in the photo to see it straight away so it's a good way to stay aware of who's put photos of you on the net. All the new applications that you can now add mean that personalising your page is easier than it used to be, but it can get annoying when people have too many and you can't find the bit of their page that you're looking for.
Facebook is a great social networking website which allows you to keep up to date with your friends and family alike. Its a must for university students as it acts as a method of knowing whats going on around you. Its also a great way to share pictures.
This social networking site has become very popular recently. In my opinion it's the new myspace. There are things that you can't do, for example edit your profile page, but there are hundreds of applications to be added. Also, updates appear on the newsfeed such as when people add new pictures, which could be a good or a bad thing depending on the type of person you are.
This website is very popular with a range of ages, because it has a easy to use format and allows you to browse through your friends photos and even see what your friends are saying to their mates. It also has top security settings that you can edit yourself so you feel safe using this site.
Facebook is a fantastic way to stay in touch with current friends and find old ones. Having just returned from travelling, facebook was a great way to stay in touch with friends and family while I was away. Now I'm back it makes staying in touch with all the friends I made travelling, so much easier. It is also great for sharing photos, which you would otherwise not see. By far the best social networking site!
what can i say best site on the net ten times better than bebo ever was where else can you go and talk to your friends live while checking your mail and look at photos from the night before it is great i love it and no wonder it is one of the fastest growing social networks in the world.
This is a great way for find peole on the net and keep in touch with friends you already have. It offers good things like being able to send out invertations to things that you are hosting like a barbeque or a party, it also enables you to upload photos of partys or things you have done, just so that your friends can see them and comment on what they think about the, If you havnt got facebook, log on now, i bet youll enjoy it.
Facebook is amazing. Everyone is always on it. Its a way of chatting with your friends and making new ones. Also many faces fromt he past tend to pop up which is always a plus side. Just a better way of comunicating via the internet than myspace and msn.
Facebook is SO addictive!! great invention and congratulations to whoever designed it. It is sort of like a free "Friends Reunited" but better! Great way to keep in contact with both current friends and old friends especially when you're in uni (like me) for creating events and therefore invite everyone and let everyone know what is going on easily without having to send out hundreds of texts and calls. Brilliant and cringe worthy to wake up after a night out and see who has tagged you! Great way to cure boredom, however you have to try and get over your addiction so that you can get on with work.
This is a excellent way of keeping up to date with what your friends are doing in contact and sharing pictures safely. It find it much better than the other sites because only people who know you or are in your circles can see your page. Most of my friends probably spend at least 2 hours a day on facebook. It is definitely a too big a distraction over exams though.
Facebook seems to be popular with most people...even my dad has it! I can see the attraction as it is a free and easy way to keep in contact with old friends whom you may otherwise never speak to again. There is a whole load of applications as well, so effectively caters for all needs.
There is little you can criticise about this website, and that's why it's so popular. It is constantly trying to improve itself, and trying to meet the neesd of its users. For me, keeping in touch with friends and sharing photos is essential, and there is no other website better equipped to let me do that. Also, additional applications make the website slightly more entertaining all-round.
The whole world is addicted to Facebook and i must admit im no exception. Uploading pictures and keeping in contact with past and present friends, is the hype that has gripped the nation.
I love Facebook as it is the perfect way to keep in touch with friends without phoning or texting constantly which is costly and sometimes you just don't feel like it. It is also great for looking at photos and seeing what your friends have visited! I have found it to be an easy way to keep in touch with those from the past who you may not have bothered contacting before.
Facebook is a website where you can catch up with all your friends, meet new ones and get back in contact with all those people you went school with. They have some really fun applications on there and it is so addictive! All my friends spend hours on there every night. It's easy to use and convenient.
I think the most useful thing about facebook is that you can find old school friends or people who you've lost contact with and make contact again. As their is no limit to the amount of photos you can upload it's a great place to share holiday snaps, clubbing photos or even baby photos. If like me, you lose your phone often- facebook allows you to retrieve numbers and contact people via the internet.
To be completely honest with you, I would not be able to survive a day without my facebook page. It has become a way of life, in the same way that the mobile phone did 10 years ago. Its a great way of keeping up to date with all of your friends with such little effort. If you are not already on facebook, you will be before long!
Facebook is a website that I use far too much. It's a great way to keep in touch with friends and organise things, or just to embarass people with photos from nights out. The unique way it uses a feed to tell you what everyone else is doing is great for everyones innate sense of wanting to know what everyone is doing! The new facebook chat is also good to have little conversations with people who you wouldn't normally talk to.
Although not as good as Facebook, I believe Myspace is the second best networking site on the internet. It is great for getting in touch with friends and for uploading pictures of nights out. It also has a very good additional feature that allows you to have your own profile song when people visit your profile. However, Myspace can be very complicated to update and it seems to take a long time for photos to appear on your profile.
I have used all of the major networking sites and I have to say that Facebook is by far the best. Everything is layed out in a simple manner, so it is easy to work and many of the additional applications that you can add can be fun to use, as well as useful. Facebook is also a great way of keeping in contact with long distance relatives or friends.
Best social networking sight I've ever been on. It's aimed at a more mature age than Bebo, and it's less complicated than myspace. You can find people on there that you haven't seen or spoken to in years, and upload photos so that they can see your life now. However it's very secure, people can't view your page without asking you first. You can keep it professional or you can go wild with applications which tell you your mental age, who your sexiest friends are, what your gangsta name is, or how many children you are likely to have. It's alot of fun.
This is by far the best of the social networking sites available on the web today. It is am easy and fun way to keep in touch with friends and family and even a way to catch up with people you may have lost touch with over the years. With new features being continously added, it is always up to date and you can make your profile as simple or as complex as you wish, by adding as many or little applications as you chose.
Facebook is in my opinion, one of the best networking sites in the world. It has loads of really good features and most people (who live in the world) have an account on this site. I've been a member for almost 2 years.
in my opinion the best social networking site around. Although saying that they did accidently delete my account the other day. However so did myspace last year
Facebook is great way of keeping in contact with friends, but it takes up a lot of time! It's a fantastically easy way of sharing photos and you can apply your own security settings. You can also choose who to be friends and who can access your page so i don't think it's as dangerous as the media sometimes makes it out to be.
Facebook is one of the most popular social networking sites around. I have been hooked for about a year and a half, and personally cannot understand what i use to do before i was introduced to facebook by my friends. It allows its users to keep in contact with current, new and old friends. It allows people to upload photos, communicate through messages, and instant messaging, add applications, play games etc. The fun never stops. Be careful though, as once you join, you will become addicted.
Facebook is amazing. Great way to keep in contact with school, out of school and family friends. Really easy to use and great for using to try and find people. It's free so helps keep the phone bill down as you can get hold of your friends through it! Only problem is that it is really addictive and distracting! but recommend!
This is a social networking website which was set up by some American students a few years ago, but has only become really popular and globally renowned over the past couple of years. I have been a member for less than 2 years, although I think it is a great initiative because it allows you to keep in touch, very easily, with friends living almost anywhere in the world. However, it is very addictive and can side-track you from other things very easily.
One word of Warning....if you don't have facebook yet think carefully before getting it, it can quickly turn into a life absorbing addiction. However that aside it is probably one of the best inventions since the ipod! No longer do you have to sit around trying to guess when your friend's birthday is or what your friend is currently up to, just one glance at facebook and all the answers to everything are there. You can also use it to eye up those people you are too scared to talk to in real life. Facebook is good for life but bad for your degree
Facebook is really good for keeping in contact with friends you dont see that often. Its also really useful for tracking down old friends. I recently found most of my old promary school friend using facebook. Its easy to use so beats myspace and there are way more people using it so it beats bebo and all of those other sites. The events page is probably one of the best features and it makes it so easy to sort out your social life.
Facebook is fantastic. It is such a great place to speak and see friends that you haven't been in contact with for years. It is also a free and easy way of planning birthday and parties with friends and inviting everyone who you want there. Uploading pictures and commenting other peoples profiles in all very easy however it does take a few days to work out

Facebook is a really useful site. It helps me to keep in contact with friends and easily make arrangements. There are really useful safety settings available for those wishing to keep wheir lives private. One really good thing about facebook, is that it is popular worldwide and so you can easily contact friends in other countries. Similarly, photos can be shared on facebook, helping to remember faces.
I've found Facebook to be one of the best ways to keep in contact with friends and reconsile old friendships with people i went to school with years ago. It has many great applications for you to play around with. But beware, facebook becomes addictive very quickly and soon after your joining an hour on the computer will turn into a whole morning of facebook fun.
Facebook is the modern answer to letter writing and that is no bad thing. Facebook provides a way for you to keep in touch with people easily and at a low cost. Great especially if you are a student! It is a worldwide institution and is constantly evolving to keep ahead of the rest. It allows you to share photos, videos and it creates a safe networking environment where only your friends can veiw your personal details. An important requirement judjing by todays society.
This site is a really good way of keeping in touch with friends and family and keeping upto date with all the latest gossip within your friendship circle. It's easy to sign up and anyone can, all you need is an e-mail address. Its really great because you can post all your pictures and view others pictures from recent events. For example my friend has been travelling around the world and i have been able to chat to him and see what he's been doing. Really fun and useful site but it can become addictive!!
this is a great site for keeping in touch with your friends during holidays or breaks. it also helps to organize parties or get togethers between friends or big 21st.
great site.. i really recommened it
great site.. i really recommened it
This is like the best website ever. Perfect for keeping up with what's going on with you're friends, sharing photos, keeping in touch etc. Also great for procrastination when your meant to be working, but can be ridiculously addictive!
This is by far the best and safest social networking site. It is great to keep in contact with old friends and to find old friends to. I really like the new facebook instant chat which i very much like msn. i would reccommend this to anyone to keep to date and in contact with their friends and family!
Ths websit is amazing. Its like another part of your social life, easy to stay in touch with friends, communicate quickly through messenger, and tagging photos!! Excellent, 10/10
