I went to Jessops a couple of weeks ago in Wrexham to ask about buying a good camera with a big zoom . They tried hard to get me to buy a an SLR camera with 2 lenses & other bits that would of cost over £800 in total which is a lot of money for something i only want to use for accasional use . I decided to think about it first . This week i went back into Wrexham to visit Vostro Cameras who used to be called Wrexham Cameras but have renamed themselves to make themselves look more modern . I have not been in the shop for over 2 years & was supprised to see how much more modern it looked .
I spoke to Jack & asked him the same questions i had asked at Jessops . Jack was much more informative & asked me questions about how what i fully wanted the camera for . He explained in plain language that i could understand the differences between an SLR & a Hybrid camera which is like an SLR but with a built in big zoom & is much cheaper . I ended up buying a Kodak Z Hybrid for £219 which is much more my price range . Having tried the camera out this weekend i can say i am delighted with it & the advice i got from Vostro Cameras . They saved me a lot of money & i would recomend them to anyone . The shop is smart & modern & the staff were very helpfull & the prices very cheap .

Unlike many of the large chains for developing films, getting prints from your digital camera or purchasing a camera Wrexham Cameras gives you a friendly service and help you to choose a camera which will fit your needs without the pressure to buy. The print quality of the photographs was the best of all the stores in Wrexham. I would recommend this store to everyone.

Staff are always very friendly and willing to help. After having bought a camera from the shop I was able to go in for advice on the various functions weeks after, and all of my questions were answered in an unpatronising way. Prices are cheap compared to other chain businesses, and a variety of products/services are on offer, for example quick developing, professional/everyday cameras and various accessories.

Great little camera shop on Lord Street in Wrexham (Behind Woolworths). The staff are not only friendly and cheerful (compared to the robot-like white lab coat wearing staff at Boots, when you get the impression they've never even held a camera, let alone know how one works), the staff at Wrexham cameras really know their stuff and are always happy to advise on makes, models and picture quality. They are also inexpensive (both equipment and picture processing) and the shop itself is adorned with photos that the staff themselves have taken. By far the best camera shop in town, as long as they are around I'd never go anywhere else.
