I adore going to Alton Towers. It is expensive to get in but you can usually find vouchers somewhere online or in newspapers. Even if you can't it is well worth the money. It is a fab day out. There is a lovely section for younger children to enjoy but its the big rides that really make the day special! Make sure you have a scaredy cat with you who can be designated bag holder and get yourself on the rides! Oblivion is thrilling, Nemsis is amazing and Air is terrifying but all are so much fun!! I cannot wait to go back and try out the new addition, Rita!
fab day out for all the family very expensive but you can find cheaper tickets or use coupons off the internet. not a lot for the younger kids but our gang is growing up so they will soon benefit all the big rides
Alton Towers is so great and fun! The whole theme park has lots of Rollercoasters and is great. They have one where you fly in the air just hanging from a harness.
The theme park sells very expensive food though so make sure you bring food yorself! The rides are really safe and fun and i garantee that you will have the best day out ever! Alton towers also has over 5 big rides and another one of then drops from a really massive drop, Called Oblivion!

A GREAT day out, especially on a sunny day, you'll be excited from entering the park till the journey home. Rides like the Oblivion are the best rides in Britain witha virtical drop into a black hole, you won't know whats hit you! Furthermore there are plenty of tame rides for those who like to feel a little safer! And plenty of food to keep your appetite satisfied all day.
This is a brilliant theme park in the middle of nowhere, if you go by car you have to get a monorail train to the entrance! They have a great selection of different rides including seven awesome roller coasters of which all of them don't let down. This is a really massive place with diffrent sections of park to different themes and in the middle is a huge garden for some pleasant walks if you have had enough of all the millions of rides. Different food stations and restaurants are situated around the whole park so there is always somewhere to have a big meal or a quick snack before the next ride.
Its a great themepark! When i went there all the rollercoasters are open, i am a huge fan of them. I have been twice with greats rides going on. My favourite is Nemesis because it has great inversions that gives you an adrealine rush inside you! Another damn brilliand one is Oblivion Drop with a 90 degree drop that speeds at 68mph, at the start i got so excited as the train ascended to the top then turning and suddenly stop at a holding brake. . . Seconds later zoomed down a heavy g force in the undergroung as it tours back to the earth level again- what a cool ride but it' so quick and guys ere's no point worrying! I day there i filmed the Corkscrew with my mates, it was a laugh. . . Corkscrew could be better, some of my mates said your head really wacks side to side in harnesses- oh dear! The qeue for Air took ages cause there was a problem! At the end got a really good photo of the ride! I really love the doughnuts there, keep up with all the extreme rides!
My first visit to the theme park didn't dissapoint by far. I visited just before school holidays so there were a lot of school trips crowding the park. However it didn't stop us from trying out all the roller coasters. By far Oblivion is one of the best adrenaline rushing rides ever with its vertical drop that hits 68mph. Nemesis is far better than its smaller version in thorpe park. It includes two corkscrews, loop the loop and a zero g roll. After going on about 3 times it starts to make you feel rather dizzy. Air is also a great roller coaster thats an easy ride and very enjoyable. As I'm more of a roller coaster fan Alton Towers is most definately the best theme park about in the UK.
My favouritist theme park in the uk. Alton towers never disappoints, i go every year and i still love it. The rides are amazing my favourite is nemesis but i do love rita and air. There is always new rides, i think a pirate area has just opened. The ques can be long but its worth the wait.
Alton towers has been one of britains favourite theme parks for years and it still is. We used to go with the music group at high school and it was always a real treat. They now have offers for alton towers on cereal packs which makes it a cheaper day out and with new rides every year it never gets boring. Just be prepared to que a bit.
Alton towers is the best theme park in england, air and nemesis and oblivion, everyone is brilliant! lots to do if you dont like rides! all rides are safe and you can get food in lots of places
My favourite theme park in England- easily accessible from all areas of the country- and a nice drive up there too! After getting off the motorway theres some lovely undulating hills and nice little villages which you can scout for pubs after your day at the park. As for the park, nemesis, oblivion, air and rita- all brilliant rides for the thrill seekers, as for children, there is the squirrel nutty ride, willy wonkers chocolate factory- and the majority of ugg land. The new mutany bay seems good too- you can drench oaps and kids who pass by on these makeshift pirate boats on the massive lake there. Best time to go in my opinion is towards the start of the season- march april time- as there arent any queues and you can just keep going on ride after ride. It is relatively expensive compared to other parks, however its definately worth it as there is so much to do and it is an amzing day out to do once or twice a year.
By far and away the best theme park in UK, Alton Towers really offers something for everyone. The site itself is massive and it is layed out in an intelligent way, so that all the rides and amusements for the youger children are situated together. For the older children and young adults, I would recommend 'Oblivion' for one of the most terrifying experiences of your life! Alton Towers also offers very reasonable entry prices and even a hotel if you're planning to stay for more than one day.
Alton towers is my favorite theme park and in my opinion the best in the country. This is because of the size of the park and the excellent rides it has to offer. The Nemisis, air and oblivion are my favorites as they are the most exciting. The log flume is also very enjoyable and you come of completly soaked especially if you are at the front. The downside is the very large queues which are frequently present at the bigger attractions. The park also boasts a scenic lake and gardens. I would recommend coming here for a great day out
I love the rides at Alton Towers and in my opinion it is by far the best theme park in England! However this means no matter what time of year it is, the park is always full meaning queues for rides are constantly long. Nevertheless it is definitely worth the wait.
i come to alton towers every year and each year it seems even better than the last! Myself and my family stay in the Alton Towers hotel and have a fantastic time. The hotel is brilliantly themed and i love going in the lifts as they make noises from the rides in the theme park. However my last visit was slightly dissappointing as the benefits of staying in the hotel seem to have disappeared. When you stay in the hotel you are meant to be able to go into the park early in the morning before the crowds flock in. When you enjoy the big rides like me that is the biggest benefit , yet this year they only let you into the kids section of the park. I still however love the theme park and will go back!
I do love alton towers, it may be a little expensive but it is by far britains biggest and best theme park and its the must go to place of the summer. Everytime i go its changed and theres always a new rides giving you a different experience everytime you visit. The only downside is due to its popularity, is waiting in queues for the rides, but its open long enough in the year so if you can pick a time to go when its less busy like near the of the season.
I absolutely love this place and bever get tired of it!
Although the entrance fee is £35, there are always offers around in newpapers and such.
The food is really expensive and i would recommend to take sandwiches.
The rides are amazing, but not for little children, as there isn't that much for them to go on.
The queueing can get annoying, so i would definitly not go bank holidays or half terms!
One bad thing is that you have to pay for parking! i think this is absolutely ridiculous, as you have no choice but to park there. It is £4 to park but there is also an express parking choice, which is £10. It sounds alot but if there is a car full, its only £2 each. It really is worth it as you get parking right near the entrance and so dint have to wait around for the monorail to take you to the park.
Overall, a rally fun filled day out.

I found Alton Towers to be a grand day out, however, it cost a fortune! Entries are expensive, and food is just as bad. There are lots of deals about though and coupons that make it half the price to get in. Just be wary of going on a weekend, or bank holiday - the queues are usually large and waiting times can be up to a couple of hours to get onto a ride.
Alton Towers is a very big theme park but the prices for tickets are quite high. The rides are really good and it is definately worth visiting some time. Personally I think Thorpe Park is just as good but many people disagree with me.
Alotn Towers is a massive theme park, with a lot of scary, thrilling, fast rides. I'd say it has quite a lot of scary rollarcoasters, and not enough fun and thrilling rides, its an adrenaline junkies heaven! There is lots of food places, but they all serve fizzy drinks, so on a hot day bring water. There is a chair lift that can take you across the park as it is very big, but it wasn't working when I went there. Also, the monorail that takes you out of the park and too the car parks gets very busy at closing time, so be warned, leave about 15 mins before closing time to avoid big queues.
Alton towers is always a strange theme park for me. Its probably the biggest theme park in britain but it isn't very good at utilising the space it has as the different 'lands' are very far apart, meaning that most of your time at the park will be spent travelling between rides. The rides it does have are good, but not great.
I have just recently been to Alton Towers, and i must admit it has to be the best thempark in Britain. With a range of rides its a great place to go with friends or as a family day out. My favourite ride has to be Air, however the oblivion has to have the biggest scare factor, with a vertical drop into a black hole. Ticket prices can be expensive, £35 for an adult. Although, there are many ways to get hold of cheap tickets, either in newspapers or through promotional products (crisp packets), all in all its a place id recommend to anyone.
Alton Towers makes an extremely good day out whereever you are from in the country! It is definitely worth travelling to for the likes of the rides Rita, where you go from 0 to 60mph in seconds! My personal favourite is Air, the ride where you feel like you are flying! The admission price is so expensive at over 30, but it is worth it for a special occasion for a few thrills and excitement.
this is by far the best theme park in the country. the rides are amazing from thrills to water rides, to kids rides and slow rides. there is plenty of places to get food from and i dont think its much more expensive compared to normal prices. also there are plenty of places to try and win toys. the ques can be long but you can buy a fast track ticket which is well worth the money as saves you all the queing.
The best theme park in the UK. Has loads of rides and other activities to keep you entertained all day long! For thrill seekers there are many rollercoasters to keep you busy, and with a very good queing system and some very helpful staff, you won't be waiting around for long. The price is a bit steep for just the one day out, however there are group discounts as well as many other offers going on all year round. An excellent day out.
a great day out. many fun rides, of different varieties to keep it interesting. although the queues get quite long, i would recommend going on a day when not many people would be expected. i went for 2 days and had no queues, literallly just walked through and sat on the ride. the rides all seem to be well maintained, and the staff there are all helpful and very very sociable. extremely recommended.
Now forget the queues, expensive scran and extortionate wrist band prices...this place is the cats pyjamas when it comes to all things ride'y.
The rides never cease to thrill and they are always inventing new rides to appeal to us ride lovers. genius

Alton Towers is not a brilliant place to go if you're a bit of a wuss like me, and don't like heights! having said this, a day here with all your mates is one you'll never forget, regardless of the rides! the foods pretty pricey, and the queuing can be a nightmare (especially in the summer holidays) but it really is a super day out!
The best theme park that the UK has by far. It offers great rides with the likes of Oblivion, Nemesis and Air. It is extremely popular attracting people from all over the country and so can get busy during peak seasons and bank holidays. The theme park caters particularly well for older teens but there is activities for the whole family to enjoy. A great family day out

This theme park has got lots of really thrilling rides that leave you breathless, it also has excellent hotels that thrillseekers can stay overnight. although a ticket for the park is expensive it is worth it for a quality day out.
This place is so much fuin it is not true. It is massive as well and there are so many cracking rides including oblivion, which is not for the feint hearted. It is a bit procey and hard to get to but well worth the cost and the effort.
I LOVE alton towers!!I went last summer at the start of Septemebr which is a great time to go as the queues aren't as bad as usual with schools being back. If it's a long way away from hwre you live I would recommend staying in the Splash Landings hotel, it's really fun and great value for money.
I LOVE Alton Towers - yes, ok, it's expensive, but as days out go this is one of the best I've had! I have been about 4 times, and everytime it gets better! The rides are great for all of those wanting an adreniline rush and I'd reccommend it to anyone!
This is the best theme park in the U.K in my opinion, it has something for everyone here. Loads of photo opportunities. Loads of different food places, quite overpriced but what do you expect really. Theres a gift shop too. Absolutely tons of parking. Amazing day out for all ages!!
Personally my favourite theme park with two incredible hotels. Cannot say enough about this place, its suitable for everyone and is an amazing day out, the only thing i can say is i wish i could go there more.
LOVE THEMEPARKS? LOVE ALTON TOWERS.
Its a great day out, whether you go with friends or family, your sure to have a good day.
With many great white knuckle rides (air, nemissis, oblivion, rita) to choose from, and a themepark for smaller childeren too, there is something for everbody.
The only downside to the park is cueing times. The rides are very popular and may find yourself waiting upto an hour to get on one ride.

this place is so much fun, i'd definately recommend it. although it is a bit of a mission to get to, once you are there it is so worth it. my favourite rides were air and oblivion.l there are plenty of places to relax in the huge grounds, a big lake and loads of restaurants.
This is a really fun place. All the rides are amazing and there is so much to do. The park is also very pretty with all its greenery and not tacky at all which is what i expected. Oblivion is the scariest ride ever, but you have to try it! there are lots of places to eat. It can be very busy and long ques in high season.
I love this place! have been twice during the past year, and loved it both times. there are different sections of rides. my favourite ride is rita, or maybe oblivion, its hard to decide. the whole park i itself is beautiful and spacious, with a large lake populated by swans. there are many places to eat so you wont go hungry. it is truly tucked away in a secret pocket of countryside, as it is incredibly hard to find, and you cant see it at all untill you actually step into the park itself, it is well hidden. an amazing day out!!
This is a really cool place to go for a couple to days! It's normaly packed so make sure you get there early in the day!
The rides are really good fun especially "air"! and the fireworks display was really good a couple of years ago when I went! I have since been back and it was just as good, if not better!

A brilliant theme park, i have been there three times and i could go there again and again. i never get tired of it! its a great day out with friends and family! if you love rides/rollacaters you will love it. there are lots of big rides like oblivion, air, rita and nemesis..these are the main rides/best ones. Athough you cant beat the log flume, where ul be guarateed to get WET!
this is a great theme park, easily the best in the UK in my opinion. This theme park has a mix of fast, scary thrill rides to the carm relaxing rides. This place has great food places, shops and a hotel. The surroundings and scenery is really nice and well look after. Highly recommended!!!!!!!
Alton Towers is a great theme park, home to famous rides such as nemisis and oblivion. it is constantly introducing new rides such as air which is a great expierince and i would definately recommend, rita queen of speed is also another main attraction to the site and although the ride lasts only 30 seconds or so it is thrilling as you are pushed from something like 0-70mph in a few seconds! it is a great day out for anybody wanting a rush!
Each time I go to Alton Towers I have a brilliant time and keep wanting to go back again. The rides are top class offering the ultimate in thrill seeking days out. My favourite rides include Rita Queen of Speed which launches to 100miles an hour in less than 2.5 seconds, Oblivion which sends you diving head first into a black hole and Nemesis which is the basic hanging rollercoaster. The day is not cheap but it is definately worth it, making you wish your day did not end. I find the most convenient thing to do is take a picnic which not only saves you money but is probably a lot healthier. You can store your picnic in the lockers at the front reception. However, if your'e not a very picnicy person then there are numerous fast food outlets which will keep you going!
WARNING: bring a spare pare of shoes if you intend on riding the Foambath log floom as you will get wet.

The best park in the UK. Its based around the historic Alton towers. It is a very large park with things for everyone to do. Great rides from drop downs to pirate ships. It is good for kids as it is all themed and makes them feel like there in a wonderland. Food is standardly over priced. But you can buy from brands such as Mcdonalds and KFC. Lots of prize games aswell that can become addictive. Great park but they havent released a new ride in a while.
If your an adrenaline junkie and love thriling fast paced rides then AltonTowers is the place for you! With all its big rides like Oblivian, Rita and Air you can spend the whole day in the park getting tossed up and down! Its best to get fast track tickets for the bigger rides to save yourself from waiting in the queues which you could be standing in for up to 2 hours.
The best theme park in the UK. While it may not be up there with Florida's best its much better than the alternatives in this country. Rides like Nemesis, Air and Oblivion make this a favourite day out. Best tip is to stump up for the queue jump passes, they're so worth it!
Brilliant family day out. Look out for 2 for 1 tickets that are around at the moment on the back of various food products (such as tetley tea bags.) It is good value for money when all the rides are working, get there early on busy days (school holidays) to get on the big rides with short or no queues. You can book fast track tickets which allow you skip the queue for one go on most of the big rides. Good exciting rides at all levels and for all ages - i would suggest that over 6s would enjoy it more than those younger than that.
If you like fast rides head to the famous Alton Towers. You have to go even if only once, yes the queues are long and its quite expensive but it will be a day that you wont forget. If you get fastpasses you can skip lots of the queues, my favourites are the ripsaw and nemesis - oldies but goodies! You have got to get soaked on a water ride too. Check out the website for cheap deals and try not to go in the school holidays when its jam packed! Enjoy Adrenaline Junkies :)
This Theme park is amazing its the best in England, In my opinion! My fave ride is AIR its fantastic. I Would say alton towers is suitable for people over 8 but okay for children 8 their are a few rides for them.
Alton Towers is easily the best theme park in Britain. I've been about three times and have had an amazing day each time. The rides are quality and no for the light hearted as can be pretty scary!! Definitely worth a day out though and I can't wait to go again!!
Days at Alton Towers can be a nightmare or a really good day out. You can't knock what they offer in terms of some of the best rides in the UK and great park sceneary. However its quite expensive not only for the ticket but for food and drink once your in there. A nightmare day would be a busy, rainy one where you can be stuck in the pouring rain queing for hours just to get on air or oblivion which isnt that enjoyable really.
Alton Towers has got to be one of the best Theme Parks in the UK. I try and go every summer and enjoy ot just as much every time i go! The park is split into different themed sections. For example there is 'Ug Land' which looks like something out of the Flinstones. Ug Land is now also home to Alton Towers most recent big attraction 'Rita - Queen of Speed'. I first went on this last year and if you have a need for speed i definatly recommend it! There are also rides like the Nemisis, Air and Oblivion that are not to be missed! Prices in the summer are around £30 per adult, however i have always got my tickets from lastminute.com where ive saved upto 50%, even in the middle of summer! Also be aware that there is now a £4 per car carpark charge.
Awesome.Always fun. Full of massive rollercoasters, food places, pubs, shops, and everything you need for a good time. It becomes obvious when you walk in that the entire place is geared up for making money, so bring a lot. Some of the rollercoaster are great including a vertical drop ride, and one where you're suspender in the air by restraints rather than seated.I love it, and have since I was a kid.
Definitely the best theme park in the UK. Varied rides on offer, from the big-hitting rollercoasters such as Nemisis and Air, to the gut-crunching Oblivion to a selection of rides for the not quite as daring - but nonetheless fun! Loads of different places to eat - I would reccomend the Medieval Grill place. Cable cars can take you from one area to another - and the gardens, whilst usulaly overlooked, are really not to be missed! In holidays the queues can be horrible, so go in school time (take the kids off school for a day!) and the longest you will have to wait is 10 minutes for a front row seat on Air. Open until November, and the prices are well worth it. Also, offers are available from nearby cities such as Birmingham, Stoke and Wolverhampton that include travel and the entrance fee for around £32.
Alton Towers is in my opinion the best theme park in the UK. It is a huge attraction with a large range of rides to suit everyone from the large rollercoaster oblivion to slower rides and childrens rides. It is very reasonably priced with group discounts available. New rides are always being developed too. There can be large queues in the summer holidays so if you go then it would be better to stay in the hotel and go for a few days in order to be able to do everything. There are also some nice little cafes to get a bite to eat. The hotel is excellent with themed rooms and good facilities with lots of space. The restaurant is nice and there is cabaret entertainment for children and adults.
Alton Towers is a highly rated day out for all the family. The park itself is massive boasting some of the best rollercoaster rides in the country. For the more faint at heart there is a log flume, cable care, spooky house tour, gardens to walk around and childrens area. There are many restaurants and bars on site but not advisable just before any of the big ones! The prices stand at £32 for adults and £22 for children but if you book in advance online it is £24 and £16, well worth doing! (group and family discounts also apply). Queues can be long especially during peak times such as school holidays so go off-peak if you can but if not you can purchase fast track passes to jump the bigger queues or get tickets for certain time slots. Rides do breakdown but they have screens around the park informing you if this occurs also telling you approx. how long you should expect to wait at the bigger rides at certain times.Although I have only been to the main park they also have 2 themed hotels, a waterpark, golf and health spa, all details on website. From what I hear their festive celebrations are not to be missed too!
This is a good theme park the closest thing the UK has to an American theme park. It is seperated into different sections which you travel too via cable car. IT has various top quality ides such as Air, Oblivion and Rita queen of speed. A good selection of places to eat and the young staff are friendly and quite helpful. A must visit for any theme park fan.
