I love Primark in general, anywhere that you can get an outfit for less than a tenner makes me happy!! Great for bits and bobs or cheap accessories, also good for summer essentials like flip-flops, sarongs, beach bags etc. This branch never seem to have my size though... and especially since the recent refurbishment it gets horribly hot upstairs and I can't bear to stay in there for longer than necessary.
i would not recomment buying every day clothes in here as although they are cheap they dont last very long and are not the best quality, the staff are also not very friendly and the shop is impossible to keep clean as its so busy; there is always clothes just spread all over the floor. i would say the only good thing about this shop is its good if you are going on a themed night out in newcastle and need an outfit for the night!
I find this store messy and stressful! The clothes are hardly of great standard and people don't seem bothered when they push you out of their way to get what they want.
Great shop for lots of bargains. Some designs are exactly the same as ones in the shop. At the moment there are a pair of red high wasited shorts in topshop for about £30 pounds and you can get exactly the same ones in Primark for £8 pounds, its crazy. They also do graet underwear, pyjamas and pumps. Although the clothes are not as good quality, but you can get a cheap thrill out of £8 dresses and a pair of pumps i bought have lasted me along time.
Primark is a great place to find a bargain, or to pick up some cheap fancy dress wear-you can normally sort youself out with an outfit for under a fiver. However this particular primark does tend to get VERY crowded, especially at weekends and always seems to be understaffed. My tip is always go in the week or you're bound to get annoyed and leave empty handed!
I think you either love or hate Primark and I personally LOVE it! It is in a great location in the middle of Northumberland St. with 2 floors and loads and loads of stock! Yes it can be messy and crowded at weekends and I admit that you should avoid it at this time but if you go in when its quiet you are bound to walk away with a great bargain!
The Newcastle Primark is located right in the centre of town - very close to the university. Like any other Primark in the country, yes, it's messy and crowded, but you should expect this from Primark! The store is currently still undergoing refurbishment, and once complete should be well laid out and more up to date. Primark is known famously for its low prices, and this store is no exception. There are 2 floors with a wide range of clothing for men, women and children. They also have a wide range of footwear for women, some of which is very nice, but the quality is obviously not as great as it could be. All in all, good store with bargains to be had!
Primark is a great shop if you are looking for an absolute bargin. It doesn't make any sense how cheap they sell there clothes for and I don't understand how they are able to make profit, but im not complaining. Primark is located on the high street right next to the Uni leaving no surprise that it is so populaar with students. Although the quality isn't always great, you get allot for what you are paying!
This Primark is huge and situated on the main high street. OK so its messy, looks like a jumble sale and you have to battle your way through the crowds but with sale clothing for £1 who can complain!!! Primark are really good at keeping up with the current trends and get new stock all the time but are also great for basics. They have quite a few changing rooms so you usually dont have to wait too long. The only thing I would say is dont buy the underwear! They may look pretty and very cheap but the sizes are rubbish. You can be 4 all in the same size and not one will be the same as the other. But you get what you pay for. Queues are always long but they always have lots of staff on so they go down quickly and its worth it all for the unbelievably cheap clothing. Its not the best quality but you'll only want to wear it a few times anyway and then give it to the charity shop or recycle it.
I have to agree with the last review, this is a bad primark to go in. Still quite dark and messy, it reminds me of the days when me and my dad would rate a primark store out of 10 for how messy it was. This is a representation that in some areas primark still needs to be reborn into the coolness that it is today! It is on the outskirts on the newcastle shopping area and I probably wouldn't waste my time walking all the way to that primark store!
Having been to various other primark stores before, i lost patience with his store as i felt it was a little untidy with clothing lying on the floor. However staff were trying their best to pick up clothing and make things a little tidier. Queues at the service point were rather large, but they seemed to move quite quickly.
