G&Ds is an upmarket cafe, which is known for its ice cream, and rightly so. Food is quite expensive, particularly bagels, but the ice cream is worth trying at least once. There can, however, be long waiting times if you order food, particularly hot bagels. This branch is quite large, so seating isn't usually a problem, although at times the queue can stretch out of the door! It's also in a nice location, near to Christ Church and Pembroke Colleges. A good place to go for the experience, but a bit too expensive to visit frequently.

G&Ds does make lovely ice cream, although it is very expensive for what it is. However, it does have a very nice atmosphere (very studenty, but also tourist-friendly!) Open until quite late at night, it's a very convenient place to nip in for a quick salad or bagel. Queues get long at lunchtime, but otherwise it doesn't take too long to be served, and the staff are very friendly. Ice cream portions are generally very generously sized, and there are a range of interesting flavours - try the Oxford Blue, or Pistachio, for something a bit different. They also operate a 'suggest a flavour' book, and regularly introduce new types, most of which are lovely!

Really great icecreams and lots of delicious flavours to choose from. I often go here with my sister when I'm in Oxford and thoroughly enjoy it. They also serve a small range of lunches for those who are a little more hungry.

One of the pleasures of living in oxford, the G&D's stores make any day better with a scoop or two of incredible ice cream made fresh in store with a wide selection of flavours. There is also a large selection of other hot and cold, sweet and savoury foods... The mushroom and stilton melted bagel being the best thing ever.

Sensational ice creams and choice of lunches! Standard price, but nice atmosphere. A great place to meet friends for lunch or indulgent snacks. Open late.

G&Ds offers great ice cream, bagels, pizzas and other lunch food. This location has a great cow theme, and while a bit small is a very comfortable place to eat lunch, enjoy a smoothie or marvel at the crazy and unusual ice cream flavours. This is a favourite of... well, almost everybody I know. G&Ds has another, bigger location on Little Clarendon.
