Whilst I understand this club being a fave for the students, it doesn't really accomodate for anyone else! Yes, the drinks are cheap, but they're not 'value for money' as all they stock, is house spirits, and cheap alcopops such as VK, and the rare bottle of beer. Whilst bags and ID are checked outside the venue, and the doormen are very strict on that, bags being checked for weapons or drugs, it all seems quite pointless when you step inside to find numerous broken glass bottles on the steps, dance floor, and even on chairs! Party goers are told to leave drinks on the floor outside the toilets, an open invitation for spiking!
Although, the club does play good music,and there is generally a good atmosphere, unfortunately the bad outweighs the good.

5th Ave is a cheap night out. A favourite of students in Manchester due to it's cheap drinks! Ive only been a few times in the past but not so much recently. The one time I did go recently I was accosted by a guy, one of the first things he said to me was about how he nearly got done for GBH once (smooth eh?) and then he tried starting on my mate who tried rescuing me..... so yeah not got the best impression of it lately..... and pop/chart stuff is way more my scene!

This place is a must for any indie fan in Manchester as well as for anyone else that enjoys cheap drinks and a cracking atmosphere. Perhaps becoming a victim of its own success recently as it is becoming much more diverse in its clientelle and so the music is becoming slightly more pop to keep the punters happy.

you are guaranteed a great night here whether you go on a weekday or at the weekend. It is a very indie club with great music. The drinks are really cheap and the atmosphere is greta. It does get really busy, i have had my toes stood on many a time but i still love it and i would recommend anyone to come here.

Very reliant on who you go with and your mentality. I have had some cracking nights out here but, more often than not, i've been a little underwelmed. It's not dear, particularly on student nights during the week, and the music is a good range of indie/rock/punk/dance/alternative, but i often find i 'end up' at 5th Av, rather than going out to 5th. You don't really plan a night out there, you just go there after a few lively ones down the pub.

One of my favourite places in Manchester, very studenty. Thursday is the best night and so always busy, drinks are cheap particularly jagermeister and vodbulls. Mostly indie and dance music so always spend the night having a crazy dance so quite sweaty. Only problems with the place are that many people who don't like the music go because its cheap and the bouncers can be nasty but if your there to have a good time, its guaranteed.

One of my favourite clubs in manchester- you are guaranteed a good night here, from the very cheap drinks (even on friday and saturdays) to the good music (indie, dance), queues are rarely a problem, as no matter what the queue length you are let in alot shorter time than what you think. It can sometimes get a little rowdy on the dancefloor towards the end of the night when everyone crams in, but what place doesnt. There are seating areas upstairs if you want to chill out, a large almost secondary dancefloor which you can chill out with your mates, and then the main dancefloor- its a winning combination in my opinion.

I enjoyed coming to this nightclub, it is maybe a little small especially the dancefloor, but on the whole the music was good and it was easy to get drinks as there was not much of a queue at the bars. Despite this I did not come on one of the busiest nights so other people may have a different experience. There is plenty of seating around the club with a balcony floor which gives it a nice layout. This is a good place to come for students

I really enjoyed going here with a bunch of mates. Played a lot of great music and really cheap drinks, especially on weeknights. It can get quite busy but doesnt usually liven up untill about 11pm

Never had a bad night in this place. It is really cheap with drinks from about 80p a bottle. There is some seating up and downstairs, which is good for the beginning of the night. The dance floor is always packed by the end and its always a laugh.
