Our familly use most asdas to do our shopping, if im doing my own id rather go to aldi (its far cheaper!) but this isnt too bad with okay prices and a really quick service. your gaurenteed good quality fresh food too.
As a student, i use ASDA sparingly (going to lidl for most of my regular shops). I always pick up fresh fruit and veg there, but only cos i'm there, i can get it cheaper elsewhere. My main stock ups are meat from the whoopsie eisle. Most of it is freezable and you can find some really good deals, only a pound or two an item. My mate did a full shop for a fiver, though it has to be said this was a bit special. It's alsogood to stock up on basics. Tinned beans and tomatoes, 8p/9p a throw. You don't need great quality, so it's good for a cheapo fill up.
The best supermarket in the area- its massive and youl save alot of money here, over sainsburys in fallowfeild. Their smart price goods are alot better than what you think in most cases. There is always some really good offers on, and they have a mcdonalds attached too if youre into that sort of cuisine.
ASDA is great if you're on a budget, they sell absolutely everything and although the prices are low it doesn't mean you're getting bad quality, the products are still great. The staff are helpful and the store is well laid out so even though it's huge you still wont get lost.
This asda is huge and has basically everything you could ever need from food to clothes to films to tvs. The prices are cheap and the staff are pleasant and happy to help. Great for doing a family shop.
The main reason to go to Asda is because it is very cheap. The asda own brand food, especially the meat is not as good quality as its more expensive competitors like sainsburys but all the branded things are a fair bit cheaper so it is well worth going to asda, you save so much money!
Cheap cheap cheap! As you can guess, the prices of the majority of their products have impressed me. Staff are generally very welcoming and happy to help out with any queries too. If you're on a budget (or even if you're not) the clothes are well worth a look - cheap and fashionable for both woman AND men, there's something for everyone!
Great place for students to go and shop because of the cheap prices and the 9p noodles! Asda has lots of foos available for really great prices, and as they say, the staff are always happy to help. Sometimes, the clothes are worth a look to spot the odd bargin!
A great supermarket for students as prices are really cheap compaired to other supermarkets. I would suggest it mostly for a big weekly shop as its a big supermarket and you'll need time to look around. Great products however i am sometimes a bit dissapointed with the quality of some of the fruit.
This is a brilliant store for students. The food is cheap but good quality ana a massive bag of paster costs £1.20 which will last you about 2 university terms, amazing!!
Ideal location and the staff are always happy to help

Asda has started to let me down recently; I find the food just isnt up to scratch and goes off really quickly. Its great for cheap food so brill for students, and has loads but if I have more money I go elsewhere.
Great store. Has lots of different foods but especially great for cheap and cheerful foods and bargains. Amazing for getting the most out of your student budget. Nothing overly fancy about Asda but who needs fancy when your a student needing basic foods and more importantly alcohol! Love a good trip to Asda, also like a glance through George, sometimes good sometimes not so good but so cheap and the clothes are getting better.
The quality of ASDA food is really low, as I've slowly realised. The stores are really cheap though and have a ots of deals on, and a big selection. This store is well located for students.
Great supermarket for when you are a student. As you will get to know the own brand value lines the smart price line is definetly the best as it is ridiculously cheap but the quality is still there which is great
A-is for affordable
S-is for sensational
D- is for down right brilliant
A-is for amazing deals.
To be honest - its like preaching to the converted. I'm an ASDA lover through and through.
This store is extra special though - as the other reviews have highlighted it istruly HUGE!
It sells everything you could possibly imagine - with huge clothes and homewaree sections.
A must for all those who cant get enough of Asda price - Thats Right!

this is a massive asda so i wouldnt reccommend going here for some bits and bobs but for a big weekley shop it is a great place you can find bargins easaly and if you do get stuck then the freindly staff will help you
Huge supermarket really near to central Manchester. Like most ASDAs it's really easy to find bargains and cheap deals. Perhaps a little too big if you're just looking for a few things, but great for weekly shopping.
This asda is very big, with some good deals. They have better deals than sainsbury's. Its not far from the city centre of Manchester and its pretty easy to get to. It also has a McDonalds, which is handy for a cheeky burger after a hard shopping trip.
This Asda is pretty much the perfect supermarket. It's MASSIVE with such cheap deals.. Also its open 24 hours a day so if you have midnight or even 4 o clock in the morning munchies this is a winner of a place to head. Queues can get big in peak shopping times. Bakery section is great as is the meat and fish bit. Worth a look!
Being the largest supermarket in the area it has a wide range of products on sale, eg cds, clothing, frozen foods, fresh fish/meat. It also has the biggest choice of any of the nearby stores offering a number of differant makes of each product, as like most asdas very cheap but also contains a mcdonalds and a cafe. The store is open 24 hours a day and also has a petrol station across the road. The only downside to this store is the lack of a customer service desk
a really good supermarket, really big and has a good selection of different food stuffs and also electronic and home things. As like all asdas the prices are really good, top place for students as there are usually loads of deals, and you can usually get a big shop for about £28 pounds. There is a big car park so you dont have to worry about trying to walk back from the supermarket. Also there is an argos on site so if you really wanted you could get your shopping and a lawn mower at the same time.
I agree, this store is great for students, such as myself, but for 'normal' people too! There's an Argos on the same retail park so you can visit there on your way. This Asda is really huge though and you can see why Walmart bought it out, because it is literally a superstore!
This enormous Asda is great if you're a student in Manchester and have a car. It's much cheaper than other stores in Fallowfield and has just about everything you could want from alcohol to underwear to CDs to food. Additionally, there's a good petrol station right next door as well as a homeware store.
