A funky and quirky little bar serving a good range of beers, wines and spirits. Ideal for a pre or post drink before popping next door to the Academy for a gig. Band members are often spotted in here after doing a gig.

Not bad if you enjoy the more unusual continental beers or a nice sandwich at lunch. Surroundings that can either be described as full of character or poorly maintained depending upon what atmosphere you like in your bars. Different from many other places though and is worth a visit.

Only been once or twice, and althought I enjoyed the evenings I've had in there, it's an acquired taste. It's really small although possibly bigger than it appears from outside, but it's abit squashed and over priced. Cool for a one off but not a regular place to visit.

Neutral isn't really fair, as it is really a place of highs and lows. Great atmosphere, comfy sofas, little out of the ordinary and definately somewhere that is both relaxed yet able to impress. Good tunes, and the best sandwiches in Manchester. It is tiny however, and very cramped. Later on, when full, you do struggle to hear anything below a yell. And the drinks are a mixed bag.

I really rate this little bar. It a nice small, cosy size, a great place to head to before watching a gig, as the acadmeys 1,2+3 are just 2mins down the road.
Average priced drinks, top atamosphere generally feel good place!

This is a great unique bar if you want a few drinks before headings to a gig at the academy or you want a catch up with a few friends in a cosy bar
The drinks are resonably priced and the live music is generally really good

This is a cosy little, very little bar which screams coolness. It is conveniently located with the academy neighbouring it, so it is perfect for a cool music filled post gig drinking sesh. It has great food and a wide selection of drinks to enjoy in great atmospheric surroundings. I recommend it for any music lover with live music and even the odd famous musician or too.

this is a cream cracker of a bar. The sandwhiches are especially tasty and the bar staff provide excellent service. Try some of the rarer beers for a fantastically drunk and brilliant sensation. Enjoyable for adults and students alike.

Intimadatingly cool bar located near Manchester university on Oxford road. Often holds host to live music. The bar itself is really nice playing good music. The drinks are expensive but there are some really interesting drinks available to mix it up abit. The food is good and fairly priced, but more snacky than a proper meal. Definately worth checking out but you may have to wack on a quirky hat or a pair of skinny jeans and pointy shoes to feel at home.
