keep it in the family...
This is perhaps Norwich's best known and well-loved independant department store that has been a family-run business and a local tradition for many many years. Spaced over four floors, it has everything you need from soft furnishings to a large book department through to clothing and children's toys. Although the store has tried to keep up with the modern age however, there is always something a bit old-fashioned about the store and it can sometimes feel like an older person's shop and a bit out-of-the-times. This is redeemed by an extensive toy department on the top floor situated next to the equally large arts and crafts department. There is plenty of toys from all age ranges to pick from and often soft toys that you will not see elsewhere in the city- I recently picked up a brilliantly crafted Paddington Bear for my daughter that I have not seeen in any other shop!! For art supplies too, the store is second to none and for anything less arty, there is a large stationary store just opposite the back entrance for all your office supply needs!! The cafe is right on the top floor but they have put a small coffee bar in the basement in recent years if you don't want to traipse all the way up there. This is certainly one of the biggest and best department stores in Norwich even if, at times, it can feel a bit fuddy-duddy.

It is a really friendly independent department store, a nice place to have a leisurely wander around. They have a great art/crafts section on the top floor. The womens clothing is all quite expensive but they have very nice brands such as White Stuff, French connection etc Not always my style but great for a browse. Coast has some very nice ball type dresses and has a good sale with some bargains.
A traditional department store in the centre of Norwich, it has a great range of products and the staff are really friendly, they truly know the meaning of customer service. I had a great experience and was definatley happy customer.
It is a great shop, in my opinion the best department store in Norwich. It has a lot of brand names and own brand items. I find it particually good for arts and craft materials which you can find on the top floor. The staff are always friendly and helpful.
This is one of the my favourite store in Norwich. It has 4 floors and you can find lots of thing inside it, especially you can find lots of good and fashionable sweater for men in it, but its prices are a little expensive and it has no student discount, but I like it.
As an independent store this place is great. It is similar to Debenhams but sells a lot more labels. There is an amazing deli on the basement floor which sells really high quality foods such as pastrami and olives and a cafe on this floor. They have great sales here but you should arrive early if you want top ick up a bargain as they tend to sell out fast.
I liked that shop. You can be sure that whatever you are looking for, from fashion to furniture, beauty, food or homeware, you will find a contemporary mix of quality products. Its staff is also very a friendly. I was also learned that they are the winner twice of the UKs Independent Department Store of the Year.
