I love wandering round like a small child. Not a huge museum, but plenty of different things to see and do. Check out the egyptology section, as manchetser is a world pioneer in the field. The museum has regular special displays and exhibitions that run for a couple of months, which helps keep the place fresh, so you can go again and again. Lastly, the place runs on donations, so it's free to enter! Brilliant.

Not really enough here on display for a city centre museum, especially one so near to the university where there will no doubt be legions of easily influenced prospective students and tourists. Seems to have limited exhibitions that ar cheaply curated and organised.

A great day out for all the family - since there's always something on for everyone.
Children may protest at having to go there at first but once they're inside, they will not want to leave.
The gift shop is also amazing and a must visit on your way out!

The Manchester Museum is a great place for both kids and adults alike. It's free to enter to it won't burst the bank when you're stuck for something to do. I love looking round the animal bit, which shows animals from different era's.

The Manchester Museum in Oxford Road is a good choice for a family event. But you will have to choose one or two areas of the Museum as it is impossible to see all in only one day. This Museum (as almost all the Museums in England) has a free entrence and a nice coffee place.

Manchester museum is free to enter and relies upon donations from the public. As a museum I found the place very interesting. It was integral in the studying of part of my university degree on rocks and minerals. The areas are clearly set out, and there is a variety, ranging from the ancient egyptians to outer space. It is always full of school children, visiting with their school and family alike. However it is just as visited by adults and older couples, which shows that the museum does succeed in reaching out to all age groups, and the information provided is stimulating for all also. If in the area the museum is certainly worth a visit, and interesting time is guaranteed.

The Manchester museum is found on oxford road and is a great place to visit if its raining or you fancy a change. it Features collections and galleries of animal life, plants, rocks and minerals, and prehistoric life, an aquarium and a vivarium. And really you have to enjoy looking a skeleton of a t-rex or looking at mummies, its well cool on the sly. You can easily spend a good few hours in there looking at all the different things, defo worth a look.
