British Gas is a company which supplies Gas and Electric into millions of homes in the UK, British Gas each year have raised their prices and are an expensive company to go with when it comes to the Gas and Electric. I have recently joined British Gas and have been sent a lot of bills which are wrong.
On my first bill sent by the company I was given charges for dates which I didnnât live in my rented address at, This happened a lot they send out a lot of letters when I never even had an account, So I tried ringing them up to sort it out, When I rang them up I noticed how awful their service on the phone was they make you to talk to an automated machine before going through to a customer service advisor, I put in the correct post code and the automated machine did not pick it up correctly it really was annoying.
I had to talk to a customer service advisor for atleast 15 minutes before the problem was sorted out, Since then they have sent me the correct bills but personally they are too expensive for Gas and Electric, Scottish Power is much cheaper to go with.

I joined British Gas just 2 months back and since then I have been getting incorrect bills sent to my address. I have informed them on the phone but they still send out the wrong bills to my address and also have added extra charges into my account for a bill which is not even mine!
They have also gave me house address name to a debt agency as well, The company is poor with their customer service on the phone each time I ring up I have to wait 10 minutes to get through and when I do get through they do not know the answers! When they do not know the answers they ask you to hold the line and make you wait more and more and then say the problem is now sorted but still do not sort it out.
Any one looking for a supplier for gas and electric do not go with this one, I will be cancelling them soon as well they are the worst supplier you could go with for the gas and electric.

British Gas is a supplier of Gas and Electric it supplies millions of homes already.
The company has got the highest charge rate as well for gas and electric but any one who is already with the company can sort out fixed prices before they even go higher again.

Since being a member of British Gas they have never sent out any wrong bills to my address, they always let you know before they take any payments out as well, their customer service team on the phone is also very friendly as well, I think British Gas are good with their customer service.

been a customer of british gas for just under a year now.wasnt happy with them at all.. basically.... i was on swalec for my electricity and british gas for my gas, i then rang british gas one day regarding a problem with my gas meter and once the problem had been sorted the man on the phone then asked me would i like to swith to british gas for my electreicity and i said no im happy with swalec. somehow 2 weeks later i get a letter from swalec saying were sorry to hear that your leaving u s.... british gas had gone and switched me over even though i told them no , it all got switched back over in the end buti was not happy.. britsh gas are always rising there prices and are making so mamny profits , its not right,.

Having since read a recruitment advertisement for a position in this Residential Energy Customer Call Centre, I can see what British Gas are trying to achieve and certainly from my experience, they have succeeded. I spoke to a young lady called Rebecca who instantly understood my problem, empathised with the situation and resolved it with the help of her supervisor, thereby putting my mind at rest. Excellent service from an often maligned company!
