Yes, I know Amazon is great, but it's not the only place to buy on-line books. I was after some textbooks for my degree course and Amazon didn't have them, but BLACKWELL did. Top marks to Blackwell - one was in stock, and the other not yet published. They let me know by email that one book would be delayed, and then emailed again when it came in. Definitely a personal service! Let's face it - you can get run-of-the-mill books all over the place, but the specialist provider for "Academic, Education and Business" books is Blackwell. I'm certainly glad I found them and I'll be using them again. They say they've got 4 million titles on line, with over 750,000 available for despatch within 24 hours. They are the Winner of the Bookseller Retail Awards 2007 Retail Chain of the Year. Have a look at their website - you can buy all sorts of stuff - sheet music, medical books, maps, e-books. They've got a great idea - do reading lists for the universities. Would be great if the universities actually published their reading lists allied to Blackwell.
