Im not personally a fan of the wardrobe but i do know people that love it. As mentioned before its really out of the way so it should be a planned night out rather than a quick visit, i ended walking for a long time just to find it. On the night i didnt really enjoy the band that was playing as they were quite pretentious towards the audience but apparently they do have some good bands. Also the drinks are really steep, i got a single archers and lemonade but they use a cheaper alternative to archers, regardless off this i was still charged £3.70 for a really small glass of the stuff which i thought was riddicculous.

The Wardrobe is a bit out of the way, and not somewhere youd randomly decide to go to if you were just walking past... but its definitely worth a visit, especially if youre going to see a play at the West Yorkshire Playhouse as its right on the doorstep... the food is delish and at a reasonable price too if you catch one of their offers!

The Wardrobe is a very trendy bar and resteraunt, hosting fantastic Jazz nights, which can sometimes be a rareity in Leeds. They are only a few minutes from the playhouse which is great as they do a fantastic pre theatre meal deal, which runs from 5.30 to 7.30.

really good venue and restaurant, they seem to get a lot of jazz musicians to play here and the venue suits this well, it is a cool, sophisticated place, darkly lit with candles everywhere, there is a relaxed atmosphere, the drinks are very expensive which is a downside, the food they serve is delicious and they offer lots of choice, the surroundings you eat in are well decorated, mirroring the venue downstairs, it caters well for vegetarians but because it is near the west yorkshire place house it is quite awkward to get to and so not very accessible for students or people without cars

Although drinks, food and entry is very expensive this is a great jazz bar. The acts they put on are fantastic musicians and all professionals. Go and see roughneck play there! Tuesdays is a good jazz night, and entry is cheaper than at the weekend.

One of the best clubs in Leeds. Great live music, especially on a Friday when they usually have a soul/funk act on. The atmosphere in this little place is like no other club I have ever been to, everyone is just dancing and having a good time. If you only have one night out in Leeds, make sure its here. Oh, and they also do really yummy food!

Great bar if you're a jazz music fan. The prices, however, are through the roof. Still, it's a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and even if you're not a huge jazz fan it's worth going once just for a change.

The Wardrobe is a great bar/club that many jazz lovers would enjoy. It has a lot of jazz events - though unfortunately the only one I know about is The Turnaround, which consists of live quality jazz every Tuesday night. It's free entry, but if you're a student used to student-friendly prices, the price of drinks will be costly enough to compensate (if you aren't, then forget what you just read). In case you're curious about the other jazz events there, check out their website at http://www.thewardrobe.co.uk/. There are several each week.
