A great pub, with good prices due to being part of the scream chain. It serves typical pub food and drink. Quiet during the day, however popular with students in the evenings making it a fun place to go if low on funds.

Studenty and cheap, the only problems are that it's often very busy and can take a long time to get served, and the location, in one of the less safe parts of Leeds. It's not terrible, but not advisable to wander around Hyde Park on your own at night (especially if drunk!) It's still an ok pub though, and part of a couple of well-known local pub crawls.

The library is a great place for students to have a few pre drinks before hitting the town. However, it is also nice to go for a quiet drink during the week with friends. There is normally a lively atmosphere in the pub, and many people are usually dressed up in preparation for otley run or to head into the centre of town.

A great place as drinks are cheap and the atmosphere is cheerful. If you have a yellow card it is evan cheeper. It can get quite busy with otley runners and so ques to the bar are quite annoying but as the drinks are cheap in makes up for it. On Thursdays they have a comedy night which is deffinately worth going too.

This is one of the most popular pubs in the city. A real student place which has taken on the 'scream' scheme whereby you get discounts with your 'yellowcard'. Mondays are always ram packed due to the £1 a pint. They do cheap food during the day although its not the greatest place to hang out during daylight as theres no outside area.

I remember when i was younger that i thought the library was exactly that, a library. But i soon grew up to realise that the library is infact a great pub to enjoy a few pre drinks before heading into the centre of leeds. The prices are reasonable especially if you own a yellow discount card. I wish all libraries were like this.

This is brilliant if you have a yellow card as it is part of the scream pubs. With it you get a discount on drinks
It is an ok venue but has a good atmoshere and usually has some people dressed up which is amusing
There are pool tables which is good if you want to waste time and there is a comedy club on a Thursday which is worth a visit

Another Scream pub - one of many in Leeds - and a great location - close to the university. Generally offers a good drinking experience, with pool tables and plenty of seating. A big attraction is the Thursday comedy club - well worth a ticket.

Great student pub that does the yellow card with the scream pub chain. Always packed every night and does a great pound a pint every monday. Its a rock n roll syle bar with regular bands and a great comedy night every thursday

Although its just another of many scream pubs, its a good, big, friendly and VERY cheap place. Be warned though, you will be accosted by 1,000 fancy dressers on a saturday afternoon! Gigs upstairs are good because the venue is so small, and they also do comedy nights which are fantastic!
