Joy, Leeds

This shop is strange and full of unusual stuff. It's really great, there's always something to tickle ya fancy. The clothes are great too and the changing rooms are massive!! They have free magazines too and leaflets too to keep you up to date with what's on around it. Good prices too and inside the light so it's near to other good shops, and not far out of town.

Now this is a unusual shop items for sale including clothes for both sexes, interesting and bizzare gadgets, crazy books and plenty of accessories. This is a branch of many that have been very successful aiming their products at the student population in Leeds. Its a great shop to look around which is what I normally do when in there. I haven't really bought anything from here for myself, only for my friends as presents. Have a peek inside as it wont be regretted.

I had not heard of this shop before, however, it was a really good find! The clothes are really unique and they sell gorgeous dresses! It is a little pricey, however, there is less chance that everyone else will be wearing the same thing, unlike, Topshop. Definitely worth a visit!

A clean, viberant shop that has plenty of unique accessories, gifts and clothing. I recently bought a female friend a present from this shop, she loved it. The prices are affordable and your certain to find something you like.

If you like to dress in a unique way that differs from everyone elses style then joy is the place to go. With a huge range of funky, unique clothes there is always something that you will find that will make you stand out in a crowd. Its also great for picking up birthday gifts and presents for family and friends. Most people take one look at joy and walk on by, as they think the prices are beyond their price range, but im happy to say that this is the wrong judgement to make. All clothes and gifts are affordable.

This shop is amazing, if you want a dress for a classy occasion and you don't want anyone else to have it...come here! It's got great clothes, funky, quirky dresses and coats and shirts, they are really unique and fabulous. This shop also sells amazing cards, birthday cards and all occasions, funny and funky ones. And amazing gifts too, really unusual ones. I always go here if I need an extra special card and gift for someone, or if I just can't find anything else, I always know there is something funky to be pciked up at Joy.

Quirky shop selling loads of gifts and a few clothes. The gifts are fantastic - they're so different to what you'd usually buy, and there are some things that you never knew existed! The clothes are a bit, well, rubbish. They're all rather odd and have some funny little quirk to them. Guess it's to some people's taste, but not mine. Still a great shop, though.

If you want to get somebody a unique gift then this place is a must on your list of places to visit. There is always something funky that you never thought of as a present. They also sell some nice clothes that are reasonably priced and it makes a change to go in a cool, funky shop rather than the mundane Topman et al of the high street.

Love this place, they sell ace clothes and gifts. They even have fantastic promotions like 'the first so many people to come into the shop on a certain date wearing their underwear will get clothed for free' love it!!!!

Joy really is a joy to shop in! It's quite expensive, but you're paying for quality and individuality. And they often have really wonderful sales on which should never be missed! The perfect shop in which to find an extra special birthday present

Joy, what a shop. Seriously its so good. They sell a range of unique clothes and a range of homeware items. Great if you have someones birthday coming up and cant decide what to get them.

The best gift / clothes / house accessories shop in Leeds! An Urban-Outfitters style of shop, with amazing clothing, beautiful housey bits and bobs (such as little tea lights, butterfly garlands and silver frames) and great jewellery. It may not be cheap - certainly not in comparison to the nearby Primark - but it's worth it for the uniquely stylish and pretty purchases to be made! The cards are great and the funny books make such good gifts for anyone and everyone.
One warning - they don't do refunds, only exchanges or credit notes, so be sure you really want what you're buying!

i love joy! its a brilliant clothes, jewellery and home-ware shop. The items are all very individual and unique and is great for presents (it also sells cards). The staff are helpful, although they will only hold items of clothing for an hour.

A very funky and cool clothes shop. The shop has an independant feel though I have seen one in London. The clothes are of a mixed price range so there are some affordable items for those of us on student budgets. If your looking for something different and special look not further.

A very nice independent store in leeds selling a variety of goods such as the bags, clothes and gifts. The insides is amazing - very swish. But as it is an independent store the prices are quite high and therefore cannot be affordable sometimes

Joy is a brilliant store! They sell really cool gifts and books, and fun bags and cards and also lots of clothes which are quite expensive. It always has cool decor and funky music and the staf are always really nice.

A great store with great men and womens clothes. However prices can be quite high on some items and the store layout isnt very good. Nevertheless the staff are friendly and student discount is available.

This shop is just magic. Some things are a bit expensive but who the hell cares! Its a great place to get brithday'y things - i recently bought a birthday card that you had to wind round to sing happy birthday - my friend adored it!

One of the best shops Ive ever been in... really nice clothes, gorgeous jewellery, very quirky gifts and a great selection of funny cards and wrapping paper... the Happy Birthday Tinsel Tits has to be the one that makes me laugh the most...

This is a lovely clothes and gift shop, with all clothes arranged into colour schemes, if your looking for something in particular its easy to find. The clothes are a bit on the pricey side but they are very individual so definitely valur for money. I also love their gifts and cards and quite frequently purchase my friends birthday presents in here.

This shop is not really my style but the layout of the shop is amazing, it just make's you want to walk in even if you don't like the style of clothes they sell you can always be suprised that you may find a good stylish item of clothing that you might like once in a while like i do every once in a while when i go into this shop. The staff are very good ebcause they know the shop like they know the back of thier hand's you could say, so in other words they know their shop the work in, inside out.

This funky shop is fairly priced and houses some very nice clothes. If you're looking for something smart, particularly dresses, which is also a little different you can guarentee you won't have to look any further than Joy. It also houses cool, funny and individual knick-knacks. Dressed in clothes from here, you can bet that nobody will have the same dress as you!

I love this shop. It has so much unique and original clothing, shoes, belts and bags thats its very easy to spend too much money in here. It also has some good and different gift ideas.

JOY is great if you have a bulging purse with money that is burning a hole in your pocket, need to buy a unique or funny birthday gift or just a great card (generally the only thing I can afford!) . The clothes are really expensive which always saddens me as they are so pretty! A well laid out shop with relaxed and helpful staff, Joy stocks quirky gifts, fashions and homewares, and is always great for a bit of a browse - something in there will always make you smile.

Joy is a bit of a wierd one, it stocks decent clothes and quirky wierd little gifts and thats all well and good but I never seem to buy anthing in here, just come in for a look around, like a tourist in a gift shop abroad. I suppose the prices put me off a little but definately worth a look.

Joy stocks some really cools clothes and alternative presents. It is quite expensive but the products seem like good quality and all the gifts are original. Its a bit on the edge of town in the Light but well worth a visit.

Definately one of the best shops in leeds!! its good for almost everything, clothes, shoes, accessories, girly gifts. its a fun shopping experience because the shop is nicely decorated, its fun even if you have no money because you can browse all the coffee table books. however joy is quite a depressing experience if you have no money because i gurantee if you are a girl you will want everything in there! its good for clothes and cheap girls gifts

One of my favourite shops!Loads of beautifully designed clothes, which are unique in the fact your not going to see every girl wearing them, as they only have a few pieces in each collection. Good place to come for novelty presents for boys and girls.

Great shop.everything is really funky and the mens department upstairs is quite good. All the stock is expensive but if you want to buy someone a present that is a little different then Joy is the place to go.

really really nice shop with loads of unique items of clothing and jewellry. the shop is wonderfully laid out and the staff are always on hand to help you with anything. the only thing i would say is the prices are above normal but it is worth it

fairly expensive and not always worth it items. but if you are really into fashion this is the place to look at. Upstairs they have a decent size TOP MAN department. with a decent selection. Sometimes can be quite busy... they do always have sales on

Beautiful shop. So many lovely dresses and shoes, vintagey style. Lots of collectibles, 50's, 60s, 70s memorabillia and funny gift/joke presents. Located in the light. Staff really helpful. Clothes expensive but gifts quite cheap. Lots of quirky things.

A great shop filled with joke things, sex things, present type items, dresses, gorgeous shoes. Could be really touristy but its not, and thats what makes it great. its expensive with dresses upwards of £30. You can browse in here for hours theres so much to look at.
