Nice small pub with good atmosphere. We often go there after playing concerts at uni as they have cheap drink offers most nights and its small enough not to loose everyone! Not so good food but a large selection of ale, spirits and wine.

This pub doesn't look too appealing from the outside but is traditional looking on the inside. A bit dark and tired looking I feel but is the kind of place you can go for a couple of pints. They also serve food. I had a sunday roast here which wasnt' very nice and felt very microwaved, it was cheap but wasn't very enjoyable. The veg were soggy and the potatoes not cooked well enough. I haven't sampled any other food it may be better.

Not a particularly welcoming looking pub - it looks like a grotty country inn from the outside, and to be honest when you have plucked up the courage to venture inside its not much better. However, the locals and the barmen are always friendly and the drinks are cheap. They do serve food, which is cheap and cheerful standard pub food - but nevertheless its pretty nice.

This pub looks like a grotty, old man type pub with a very fun atmosphere. The drinks are cheap and its always rammed full of students, particularly on a saturday afternoon! Friendly bar staff make this a pleasurable drinking experience.

I really enjoy this pub. It is quite small but has a lively atmosphere. It is usually full of drunk otley runners which makes it quite funny

The eldon is a very quaint little pub which is not visited so much by students. The drinks prices are too bad considering the lack of support. The beer is always of a high quality also - as can be said for the food which is great pub food

The Eldon has a really nice feel to it, really like a country pub with nice little corners to sit in an have a natter, and well priced drinks. I realy like it here. Its only small and can get quite busy especially on the £1.50 /pint thursday night, but generally quiet and relaxed. Nice location, near the Packhorse and the Library, over which Id choose the Eldon any time.

A pub very close to the university so great if youve got that little bit longer to spend on your lunch hour... the food is really good and reasonably priced, Id recommend the lasagne!

A more traditional style pub just off university campus. Has quite an old man ish vibe to it which some people may not like. Sometimes is host to live music in the upstairs rooms.

A nice neutral pub just off the univerisity campus. A very chilled out atmosphere with large amounts of space and you are made to feel very welcome. The only problem can be drinks prices which are quite high compared to the local competition
