This is a seriously awesome place. And the area is nice.
They have a lot of different exhibitions on, and some from around the world.
They've now got a CSI area, which shows you all the guns that the police gun squad uses, and it teaches you about how to identify objects from a crime scene, which is right up my street.
They do live events in summer, such as live jousting, and kestrel flying etc. They were amazing to watch.
The staff are quite friendly, and they have a massive gift shop!!

This place was a fantastic find! It was really easy to find, it cost nothing to go in and its huge and filled with information! It's the perfect place to go with friends and family any time of the day. They have a cafe so yo can make a day of it, i've been so many times and have enjoyed it every time!
I have visited The Royal Armouries a number of times with my family and always had a great time. There is so much to do there you never get tired of seeing all the wonderful things. Each time I go I seem to see things I had not noticed before. Lots of extras also like re-enactments, jousting, etc etc.
When the Royal Armouries first opened some years ago now that was pretty much all that there was in that area by the side of the river, however, now there is a whole host of things around the area. Plenty to do and see for all. A really good day out for the whole family. Free entrance with a charge for the car parking.

I needed to find somewhere to take my brother and sister that wouldn't cost an arm and a leg and so this was the perfect find! It is free entry although some visiting exhibitions can sometimes carry an extra charge. I found it extremely interesting spending a couple of hours looking around the armouries and i think my brother and sister even enjoyed it too. The best part for me though was watching the jousting outside, it was great fun and something a little different too. I also think the talks inside are fantastic too, where they use live interpreters to tell stories, and its a good choice to just stop for a moment and get off your feet while you listen.

I love visiting the Royal Armouries - there is always so much to do, and it's great for all ages, old and young. Entrance is free, although some of the temporary exhibitions sometimes have a charge. There are so many different sections to see that it can be difficult to fit it all in in one day. Check when you arrive to see what live events there are in the outdoor arena - the last one I saw was an exhibition of horseback archers, which was amazing. The only tricky thing is to find the area to park, which can be difficult.

I always have a great tim here, there's lots to see and do. The exibitions change frequently so you can't get bored if you go often. The entry is free too! There are always lots of schoolkids here on trips though so can be annoying, but apart from that it's a great day out. The location is a bit hard to find though, it's located just outside the main city centre. Good place to go with the family.

The live jousting events here are incredibly exhilerating! Its great to come here for a different type of day out, especially when the prices are so reasonable at just £1 for children/students and £2 for adults.

Firstly, the jousting is incredible!! And for one pound you can't go wrong!! There are a lot of glasses cases, but regardless of this I loved my visits there and have been a fair few times. Its good fund and ou can spend as long or as little time there as you wish! A perfect location for a school trip...

there is a massive range of displays in this museum that can easily occupy a full day. The jousting nights are brilliant and a good price for students. I have also been to a function here which was really well done although the food was pretty average.

i didnt enjoy the museum beacuse it was too big and not at all interactive, everything is in glass cases, but the tiltyard with the jousting show was really cool. For £1 students can watch a re-enactment of knights jousting and they are really good!
