CATS -The Card and Ticket Shop, Leeds

Located inside Leeds union CATS is a life saver for most. I not one for remembering birthdays and special occassions, however when i do CATS is my first choice for buying that all important card. The selection is so varied, your spoilt for choice and the prices are low.

Cats is a small card and ticket shop located inside the union. It provides students with cards for all occasions, ranging from birthdays to valentines day cards. They also have wrapping paper, ribbons etc. The best thing about cats is that the prices are really cheap, and the cards are of good quality, and are unique in comparison to the cards that are normally found on the shelves of clintons.

I didn't find Cats until my second year at uni however what a great find it was. It has a great range of cards which are far more individual and amusing than those found in run of the mill card shops such as Hallmark or Clintons. It also sells wrapping paper, bows, ribbons and gift bags, all of which are of lovely designs and very useful when you just remember its your friends birthday and you need to get them a card quick! Aswell as cards you can also pick up tickets to events held by the uni or taking place in the uni. This is a really good service as it means you can sort out tickets well in advance before an event as its so convinent. You can even order the tickets online before hand and simply pick them up!

Just what you need in the union, somewhere to buy cards for all those birthdays that you forget until the day before! Just as well priced as other card shops and offers a decent choice. It also sells a decent amount of tickets for events around leeds which is very convenient to have in the union.

A small shop rather hidden away in the Leeds University Union. It is here that you can collect tickets that you may have pre-ordered online for events at the University Union. A wide range of greetings cards and postcards are available as well as gift ideas.

This is perhaps the best shop in Leeds University Union - I love to wander round it (for hours!) as the cards and gifts are beautiful and so different to the usual mass-produced, often tacky cards available in places like Clintons. I love the range of postcards too - of Leeds, and of artists' work. They also sell hand-made wrapping paper and candles/badges/banners. I always shop at CATS for birthday, christmas and fathers/mother's day cards and would highly recommend it! (Also have bought tickets for Fruity here, the union's Friday club night).

A uniques shop that sells an incredible variety of presents and cards for any king of occasion, whether its a birthday or a wedding. The staff are friendly if you are finding it difficult to find what you are looking for, and are also willing to give their opinions if you are struggling to decide on what to buy.

This shop has loads of great ideas for presents and cards. If its someones birthday I would suggest coming here than anywhere else as the prices are pretty much what you would expect for cards and better choice than anywhere else. It is also convenient when getting tickets in advance rather than the stress of getting to the gig/night early.

Really love this card shop because it has such a big range of really unique cards for allsorts of occasions. Plus it's pretty handy for tickets, and they sell some unique gifts too.

A great addition to the students union as it sells a variety of cards for all occasions and also provides the university student with an outlet for all concert ticket sales - instead of using online suppliers which can be costly.

This place is overpriced but good if you need a card or pressie in a hurry, they have lots of cute things and sell most of the tickets for the gigs in the uni, usually with a smile. Some really nice cards and wrapping paper, and if you ask nicely they' l wrap your stuff for you, or they did for me!

I just collected my summer ball tickets from here and the service was excellent! They found my tickets instantly, there was no queue and it was loads better than getting them delivered. I love this little shop, though it is boiling hot!

CATS is a haven of sparkly cards and gifts... one of my favourite places in the union! The cards are reasonable priced and theres a wide variety... there are also lots of gift wrapping ideas if you have to send someone a present. Definitely worth a visit if youre around campus and have got time to spare!

This is a very well known car shop in the area. It has lot's to offer in card's wise, in all shapes and size's and also in rareness. Some of the cards are quite funny with jokes inside to entertain you and make you laugh. It is situated in a good are. The owner is very helpful and can always help poin you in the right way for the cards that you are looking for.

This small gift shop offers a very wide selection of cards for all occasions meaning theres something here for everyone. The prices are fairly average and it's conveniently located in the Leeds Union. Never too busy it's worth a visit for it's gorgeous little present ideas that anybody would be happy with.

A nice card shop in the Union. Great when you realise its someones birthday and you need to get them a card at lunchtime. There seems to be some really cool cards here with their own style and some great jokes inside. You can also buy tickets here for the union events and some nice small gifts.

CATS is a wonderful place to purchase cards or presents or to simply treat yourself. It is very accessible as it is located in the centre of the Leeds Student Union making it the perfect place to purchase presents without having to stroll into town. It is also a top place to buy tickets to the latest events in Leeds. They stock very attractive cards which beat the majority of those bought in the chain stores in town.

The items are rather expensive but this shows in the quality of the products and generally by the smiles on the faces of the people you send them to.

I am pretty sure that CATS has won some award in Leeds for Card and Ticket Sales. It is easy to see why, they cram every possible card into this tiny basement shop in Leeds Univeristy Union. There is a wide selection and they cater for every budget, from tiny mini cards at just 60 pence up to fabric embellished cards by five dollar shake - a bespoke card designer at around a fiver a pop. They always cater for events like christmas, valentines and mothers day with a huge selection. They have recently branched out into a wide range of gifts. You can also get gig tickets for the refec here or for the summer ball.

I get all my tickets for union events in here including tickets for the summer ball. They also sell cards and small gifty type things. I remember in Freshers week queueing up here for ages to get tickets for events so I know that the shop is well used and a great resource for the union.

A nice little shop that sells not only tickets but a wide range of trinkets, gifts and cards all ideal for that special occasion. Situated conveniantly in the students' union. Reasonable prices.

Not only can you buy some great cards here, but the majority of night events sell their tickets through CATS too and with it being situated smack bang in the centre of the Union it is very convenient for people like myself, who tend to be in Uni all day every day! The 9 - 5 opening hours are very useful but it can get very busy during lunch times

This little shop in the bowels of leeds university union sells shops and small gifts that are quite cutesy put not particularly individual. CATS also doubles however as Leeds university tickets outlet (note it can get quite busy) and, as such is indispensable!

Good for buying tickets for gigs. In freshers week the queue goes out the door for events and mostly everything sells out. Cards are pretty standard and reasonably priced.

Good little card and ticket shops in Leeds University Student Union. I usually buy greetings cards from here rather than highstreet retailers as it is really easy to find a tasteful card. The range is very good, with less tacky cards than some other retailers. Service is quick and efficient.

this is a fantastic little shop in leeds university union where you can buy really individual little cards for every imaginable occasion, the cards they sell really are original and you find yourself wanting to buy loads to decorate your room, they also sell little gifts which are cheaply priced and nice such as candles and photoframes, this is also where to pick up tickets for events at the union, definately worth going to!

Really good trinket and card shop. There are cards for every occasion! I often spend ages just looking through them to find the funniest, and trust me there are some funny cards!! It also sell tickets for all the nights in the union. Staff are always smiley and friendly.

I love this shop! Full of pretty girly quirky things, that are ideal to give as gifts: such as photo frames, keyrings etc. Lots of really pretty cards also. Prices are so cheap for the quality- I had seen some of the stock in Paperchase before at higher prices! Also buy tickets for events at the Union here which is handy.

The place to buy tickets for union events. There's never a big queue so it's always worth popping down here in the day rather than queuing on the door in the evening. It also sells cards and other silly glitter-based girlie rubbish, but I've never had a detailed look!
