Have been going to this pub for years and it has always been popular with students. It is part of the Scream bar chain and has pound a pint on thursdays and pub quiz on sundays. Smells very unpleasant around the downstairs bar area but smells fine everywhere else. Food and drink are both cheap and the bar has recently been done out with quirky decor. Always a good atmosphere in here, good place to start a night out or just to have lunch in.

This pub is located just out of the city centre, nevertheless it is still a good place to have a drink with your closest of friends. As stated, having a yellow card does mean food and drinks can be purchased at cheaper prices. It has a great beer garden, which is perfect for the summer months. It does become crowded but not to over crowded, making it a nice place to socialise.

The Hancock is one of a chain of Scream pubs, where yellow cards get you cheaper drinks. There is a pub quiz every sunday night and is extremely popular with students. I am a fan of this pub but it is a little walk away from the city centre which is a bit of a downside.

Good pub within the scream chain of pubs. Like other scream pubs buying drinks and food with a yellow card can save a lot of money and actually makes drinking there very reasonable. One of the only pubs in the city centre with a beer garden so its a great place to make the most of those elusive sunny days. The food is cheap but not always of a great standard. I would recommend the quiz as one of the better ones in town, a good way to spend your Sunday evenings.

One of my favorite bars. Really cool interior, It's just been refurbished. Can get disounted drinks with a yeallow card and wihout there prices are reasonable. Really good prices for food which is on all day and there is loads of outside seating. Really great friendly staff also.

Really nice place to go and watch sport, the pub has lots of screens, but if you order food you could be waiting up to an hour, and it normally comes out at different times.

Has Just been re-done and its very quirky and cool. A strong favourite with students so is often busy all day and till it closes. Drinks are reasonable and on Thursday thet have pound a pint which is really great. Loads of outside seating for sunny days to.

Cheap student pub with cheap food, good atmosphere and undercover smoking area with music. Also games machine, pool table, slot machine.

Great place to be on a Thurday, as theres a promotional night for students, which gets you drinks for £1 with a yellow card. Never been on any other nights, but it's a nice, chilled out atmosphere on Thursdays, and it's decent throughout the day too.

this is a really good pub.Its particularly popular with the student crowd and the decor and atmosphere refelct this.The food is often good as is the price.The best night to go is a thurdays as its "Quids in" where selected drinks are £1 with your yellow card if this isnt value for money then what is ??
