A great shop for when you feel like treating yourself due to the prices on most of the items. Great for make up as there'll be always someone to assist and advice you, just as the clothes are great, catering for both sex's and all ages from teens to the middle aged. If your looking for a dress for a special pccasion selfidges is defonately worth a visit.
I agree with lydiamoo this place is so overpriced for student i cant believe it got so many positive reviews. It does sell some good products and also some quirky little things but its sooo expensive and the staff are really pretentious. Selfridges is also known for a lot of animal testing which i really hate.
I love this store as I can always seem to find unusual gifts to send my friends and family. It has two floors, and contains your usual chain stores inside in addition to the large food area.
this department store is soo good. This one has the best food department, really lovely cakes and quirky little dishes you won't have tried before. Great to go to for luch for a change. It is a bit expensive but a nice treat and there is also a big clothing range and electrical part of the store.
This shop is ok but give me House of Fraiser over Selfridges any day!
I find the majority of it's clientel to be pretentious.
Top floor is ok but like i said, you can find all this in House of Fraiser but with a much nicer atomosphere!

The most exciting bit (and probably affordable) is the food hall on the ground floor. It has everything imaginable. A huge jelly bean selection, lollys with scorpions or spiders trapped inside them. A great sushi bar, where there is an escalator in which all the food travels round - amazing!
The clothes are also gorgeous, with names such as Chloe and Marc Jacbos. On the top floor is high street brands such as warehous and topshop but also coast and bertie. There is also a tatoo and piercing studio which i have been to but is pretty expensive.

The best part of selfridges is the food hall. It has a whole counter of delicious savory delicacies and another counter of lovely cakes. I also really love the sushi counter.
To buy anything in this store you have to have money but I do like to have the odd treat from it

Very classy shop specialising in expensive designer fashion but also has really good sections such as topshop so you mingle in and out of the designer and high street clothing depending on what you can afford. It's a nice shop to look around and makes a change from normal department stores. I can spend ages just have a look around at things I would love but couldn't ever afford but its nice to see how the other half live. The food hall is exceptional and is like nothing else you find in other department stores, well worth a look around and prices are quite reasonable for really interesting and diverse foods and drinks.
Selfridges is an amazingly expensive department store in the centre of manchester. All the products there are high end designer goods and therefore prices are kept high. No place for a student
Selfridges is expensive, but you get what you pay for! Great quality clothes here and often in styles that you cant find anywhere else. If you have the money then this is the place to shop!
Such a great place!!! Could spend hours in here, and thousands of pounds if i had the money. Definitely a place for payday. If you have the money this place offers clothes from designers such as dolce and gabbana and luis vuitton. If you havn't got that kind of money, head straight for the topfloor where there are cheaper ranges such as pepe jeans, topshop and Warehouse. The ground floor is good too, make-up such as mac and clinique and perfumes. The basement is all about food, and looks delicious!
A really swish store in the hub of shopping activity - you could literally spend a week mooching through Selfridges products and pondering what you want/can afford.
The food hall is a personal favorite - with many different products on order and even a "Yo Sushi" restaurant - theres lots of tantelising treats to tickle the tastebuds. There is also an amazing designer handbag section which ive seen Wayne Rooneys girlfriend Colleen in!

One of my favourite shops although it is expensive and some of the clientele are quite stuck up the clothes and accessories are gorgeous. Definitely a shoppers paradise even if you cant afford some of the stuff, just go for a good old window shop!
What a cool department store. Everything in general is pretty pricey but it is worth a look as there is so much nice stuff!, you could spend hours in this place. I particularly liked to food hall and I even found that cereal you cannot buy over here anymore- Lucky charms... it was a tad expensive at £7 a box though! A great place to browse and the clothes sections had some really nice bits, you just need to be aware that the prices are not aimed at students!!! A good place to buy a nice gift for someone special.
Selfridges is an excellent department store that sells pretty much everything you could possibly need. It can be quite hard to navigate around because everything is set out in its own little store section but staff are really helpful in pointing you in the right direction. Its best if you go in knowing what you want otherwise you could literally spend all day browsing all the different sections. Prices are generally a bit high but thats because most things are brand name so obviously you are paying for the name and quality.
Went to this Selfridges last week (again!) with my girlfriend. She managed to spend hours trying stuff on, but I would like to give a mention to the DJ (they have a DJ set in the middle of the 1st floor) who, depsite it being a Thursday afternoon and not particularly busy, was really getting into his stride and made the experience more enjoyable for the one holding the jackets (me, of course!!).
I used this store to buy some Dior perfume for my mother. Being a 21 year old man, in a huge store like this I needed all the help that I could get, and the assistants here, although very beautiful and can be somewhat intimidating at first glance, are fantastically helpful. It was thanks to one of these ladies that I got the exact perfume that my mother had described to me, and i relayed this description very vahuely indeed. The store itself is huge, and is pretty much seperated into a number of different stores depending on the departments, and i did'nt venture out of the perfume section, but the rest of the store looked equally impressive, and it is enormous. Given more time id like to have a look round the whole store, although i fear this may be somewhat time consuming.
Selfridges is the next level in department store shopping. This store offers a full range everything and everything!! From presents to food to watches to clothing! This store is massive and is made up of smaller stores such as G Star Raw and Radley. The staff are helpful and the choice is amazing, a great store to find something a little special for a present.
Selfridges is a huge designer department store. They have some great concessions where you cannot get the brands elsewhere. They have a large food section too, in addition to the mens and womens fashions and kids clothes. The only issue is that prices tend to be inflated because of the exclusivity of the clothing. But I guess if you want that uniqueness then you'll pay for that. I remember a couple of years ago though they had poker workshops every day where you could be taught how to play poker. I went along and they were great, especially as they were free!!!
