This wilko's in is a bit of a rundown area of leeds, and feels a bit drab inside, although its a big store, and does all kinds of things at great prices, food, houseware, lots of tolietries and garden equipment, bathroom accessories and DIY stuff too. But carrying heavy, bulky homeware items back through town is not fun.
The wilkinsons chain is a popular one, especially with students due to its such low prices. They sell food, household items, beauty products and bathroom products. They tend to sell popular branded products too, but they sell them at lower prices.
Like every wilkinsons it is a bargin shop. It sells amazing pick and mix sweets which are so cheap and addictive. The chocolate bars are also really good value for money as they are alot cheaper than others places.
For a true experience of Leeds city centre, you have to go to Wilkinsons! I love it because its cheap and has everything you could ever need in your home from furniture and paint to food and drink. The pick and mix is also fab and very cheap, worth a trip before the overpriced cinema!
I can't fault Wilko's! I probably visit every week or fortnights, for so many essentials - toiletries, cleaning products, paper and pens - the prices are unbeatable! I think it's better than the Pound shops in Leeds, as it tends to do better BOGOF offers. They've even started selling food - cereals, bread and tins - which is also fabulous value!
Probably the favourite store for all students when buying their domestic products. The prices cannot be beaten - all your toiletries, plates, cutlery, cleaning products all branded and at cheaper prices than all other retailers
Wilkinsons is the first port of call for many students who have just moved into Halls of Residence! You can find pretty much and household item that you may have forgotten at really good prices!
After searching high and low for coloured lighbulbs for an uber cool house party I was hosting, Wilkinsons came up trumps!
The first stop you should make if you require anything for the house, kitchen or garden. They are always doing brillinat deals on shampoo too.
Can't go far wrong with good old Wilkos
Wilko's is another stuent bargain hotspot they sell all sorts of cheap homewares. They often have special offers on there already cheap products, look out for the freebies around and about campus during freshers week too, we have a huge number of free spatualas and fridge magnets which have come in handy during the last three years!
great for kitting out your student house. Everything there is cheap and mostly good quality apart from the food. Got all my bathroom stuff from there and had some vouchers that they were giving out in freshers week so got loads of money off. The staff are helpful if you cant find something and theres always nice stuff to put up on your walls.
Wilkinsons is fantastic for what it is, it is one of those cheap stores where you can pick up pretty much anything for half the retail price, its better than poundland and other such stores because the quality tends to be better, its particularly good for students to pick up multipack of toilet rolls and other essentials for a fraction of the cost
Contains all you need for around the house or garden. A huge store full of gadgets and items, all at good prices. Sells pretty much all forms of kitchenware, as well as electrical adaptors, DIY tools and much, much more.
Wilkinson has just about everything you need for your home for prices that are just about the lowest around. Dishes, duvets, mirrors, kettles, cutlery, sponges, pillows, paper towels, cushions, pots and pans, wall fixtures...The list goes on and on...And the prices are amazing: Mugs for as little as 33p each and a set of dishes for £5! It's definitely the perfect place for students to do their household shopping. There are two floors, so look around enough and you're bound to find anything you're looking for. (Or ask one of the staff.) It can be crowded at times and double-bagging is a good idea for long walks back to uni, but any hassle is well worth it for the deals you get.
