Splendid location for all concerts and gigs, but also great place to go ice skating. Took the children along and they loved it. I remember the ice stadium before it was re-done and it is now very modern and accommodating. Very reasonably priced for ice skating and they also offer training and guidance for new skaters.

We took the children for a day out in Nottingham in the summer hols and this was one o the places we visited. Great value for money, you just can't put a price on the look of my hubby's face as he fell over for the 10th time as my 4 yr old was skating past him. It was some where for all the family to enjoy from 4 through to my teenagers.
The Nottingham ice arena is a great place to visit because there are so many live acts to choose from, comedy acts like Bill Bailey and Lee Evans to bands like Meatloaf and Prodigy.
Another great event at the arena is Boxing, Karl Froch and Amir Khan have both faught at the arena recently and Karl Froch is expected back sometime soon too, i personally will not miss it.
There are plenty of bars to choose from to for when your hungry or thirsty, burgers, chocolate, pringles, nachos and more, plus lager, bitter and many other bottled drinks.
If that hasnt persuaded you then what about the Nottingham Panthers hockey, The panthers are doing great this year and there matches are not to be missed.
There is also a public ice rink for the ice skating fans out there.
plus the nottingham ice arena hires out there stages to the public.
There is also the possibility of applying for one of many jobs at the nottingham ice arena, i for one have worked there before and i enjoyed every minute, everyones friendly and the pay is good.
After event if you havent brought your car and parked at the nearby car park then theres many taxiis that drive past and a taxi firm just round the corner.

I often take my toddler to Parent and Toddler sessions at the Ice Arena, and he loves it, and it really is something different from the normal 'mother and baby' activities. There are loads of toys for the children to play with, and they love the atmosphere. Its a little prices at 6.50 a session, but thats for both parent and child for the half hour, and you can stay for the 'general session' afterwards.

To be honest, I preffered the Ice Stadium before they did it all up! I have been to a concert in the main arena and it was really good and it is HUGE!!! But the ice skating part has been ruined now. I used to love going skating on a saturday on the main ice rink but now its all posh and fancy, the public have been relegated to a small ice rink in the basement!!

I love going to watch ice hockey here with my friends. It's such a great evening out! I haven't been skating that often here but it's fun for anyone even if you've never tried before you should certainly have a go! There is plenty of space on the ice to get used to moving around but it is probably best if you go with someone who can already ice skate to help you find your feet, literally. Overall, a really cool (freezing in fact) place to visit.

A very big ice rink which is good to visit for ice skating, watching ice hockey games and also to watch live music concerts. I came here to watch green day a couple of years ago and found the venue to be great. It is very large as the floor is converted into a standing are as well as the seating available around the sides.

The ice rink is open to the public for skating most days and there is even a disco night often in the week. The prices are too expensive, and you can either hire skates or bring your own. There is a cafe next to the ice rink where you can get snacks. The rink is never too busy unless you go on a saturday afternoon when it is full of kids.

Fun for absolutely everyone, the prices are decent and it's a great way to spend a few hours with your friends. The ice rink is huge so even when it's busy you still have your own space and there are games and snacks available if you get bored.
