marks and spencers is a good shop as it sells delicious food at high quality. you get what you pa yfor, i.e: high quality food = more expencive prices yet affordable. the clothing they sell is ideal for over 40s. nice simple clothing at resonable prices.
Marks and Spencer always has a decent range of clothes and food. The service is good, but the floor layout is a bit confusingI find it hard to find things despite having been in the store quite a number of times. The upstairs caf serves good food and drinks but is very dark and dingy. Having said that, its still the top place for sandwiches and percy pigs!
Large store, with food and clothing downstairs and more clothing uptairs. Also has a small cafe, which is a little expensive but generally good. Good service and generally friendly staff, fairly reasonably priced, but a little expensive, on the grounds of better quality products!
A very pleasant store with a sort of relaxing atmosphere in the store with helpful staff happy to help you pick out a certain item or just let you mooch around the store.
Great store with most of the goods available being high quality. The food on the lower floor is of a very high standard and not the sort of things you find anywhere else. The range of mens clothing is very disappointing though, as there are only a few items around, all of which are lacking in style and substance.
Great reliable shop for undies and sandwiches! Located on the high street, this place is frequently used by the older ones of Winchester, one HAS to try the prawns with the chilli sauce dip a little bit of heaven right there! Delicious! And two for £5!!!!! Even students can afford it!!! Staff are (surprisingly) not all students but predominantly women with glasses balanced on the edge of their noses and often look down on you, but helpful if you need assisting. Small cafe upstairs and public toilets.
Marks and Spencers is a really good all round shop, it sells food, jewerlery, clothes and even has a small coffee shop. The food all looks so good on the shelves that it really adds up at the check out but on the whole it is very good value for money. The clothes are especially good for scool uniform, such as, shirts and skirts.
Although the selection of clothes has reduced due to the new cafe upstairs, if you are after the essentials this is still a key shop. The food is delicious and offers the perfect sandwiches and deserts to take away. Their location next to the magazines is wonderful, as you can catch up on your celebrity or fashion news whilst enjoying the divine BLTs in the sunshine of the nearby cathedral grounds. The range of tills mean queues are generally short and there appears to be a good level of support for the many elderly shoppers.
I don't buy clothes from M&S but the food section (ground floor) of the Winchester shop is amazing! Great for higher quality (but also higher priced) food, from unusual sandwiches to lots of treats and deserts perfect for special occasions.
the shop sells exculsively its own stuff like all marks and spencer, above the food section below their is a large clothes shop that sells very well priced clothes, also there is a cafe which sells lots of food and drinks if you want to pop in.
This is a lovely branch of M&S with a wide range of food and drink including a bakery and selection of wines. Also upstairs there are clothes for men, women and children of good quality and at reasonable prices. There is a cafe upstairs as well which serves light snacks and hot and cold drinks, good or breaking up the day although prices are quite high. The staff are friendly and keen to help and the store is clean and tidy.
the marks and spencer in winchester nand is of good size and service. the lines are never too long. the have fresh donuts and cookies and other pasteries. although the prices at m&s are higher then say tescos, the quality is better. they do amazing picnic food. they hav ethings like little scoth eggs and pork pies.
This branch of M&S is great, it upholds the stores great reputation and is always clean and tidy. The staff are the real stars as they are so polite and well trained.
The prices are quite high but the quality of the food is fantastic. I don't generally buy clothes from here but the cafe is great for a place to grab a bite to eat. Generally what you would expect from a Marks and Spencer.
A good branch of M & S with everything you would expect to be there, prices generally quite high but the food is excellent. The layout of the shop is quite good with the cafe a great place to buy a cup of coffee and relax. Not personally a fan of the clothing but good for types of clothing for going back to school.
A good branch of M&S that has both clothing and food to sell. The cafe upstairs is a nice place to go and have a cake and a cup of tea. While i don't personally shop for clothes in M&S, i do buy food from there and it really is so nice! You definitely get what you pay for, and everything tastes fresh and yummy! It also has a really nice little lunch 'bar' where you can buy all sorts of single portions of snack type food - perfect for lunch breaks!
Great range of good quality healthy food on the ground floor, however, for mens clothing especially, the upper floor is very disappointing. The store is neatly laid out though, and there is always stay offering to help.
This is not the best Marks and Spencer i have been in. I find it to be lacking in the clothing selection and also rather shoddily laid-out. However, i cannot doubt the food hall for providing great quality food with a broah selection of sandwhiches and ready meals. The cafe upstairs is only small and it can ofter be very hard to find a table.
Not to my taste in the clothing department however the food is incredible even if it may be a little more expensive than Tesco or Sainsburys. Can find myself queuing a reasonable amount of time for it.
This has an absolutely brilliant food section, pretty stocked up with loads of choice, if you want to grab a quick (and healthy) bite this is perfect. There are also the bonus 'Percy Pigs', a classic favourite for many. Lots of clothes too.
Although very small you can usually find what you want here! Aswell as the many delicious meals shown on TV. There is also clothing upstairs and the underwear section is very good.
really good store. Not as big as some Marks and spencers but the essentials are there when you need them. The upstairs is clothing and shoes and fab underwere!
The food is really tasty, fresh and of good quality. It can be quite expensive but it's worth it. Upstairs there is a good collection of clothing and a small cafe.
I cannot always afford to shop here but am always extremely happy with the products i purchase when I do. The clothing/underwear section has lots of choice and the staff in the fitting rooms are always very helpful. There are often long queues in this store but the staff are regularly apologetic and do the best they can.
A really good shop to get high quality food from. Quick service and helpful staff. The clothes upstairs are pretty good too, with a fairly good selection of well priced stuff to buy.
Quite a large store give a wide range of products, selling food on the ground floor and clothes on the second floor. Good quality food, quite high price but worth it. Staff are also helpfull.

good variety of products, large store so never too crowded. also great customer service , however things are generally quite expensive in there.

the first thing to recognise if that the clothing section is pathetic. but once you get over this, you can move onto the food area. m and s food is actually really good quality, despite the pathetic ads! its not a supermarket but brilliant for lunch.
The food is good quality if a little expensive, and the staff are friendly and helpful. However, the mens clothes section is very limited, and the caf is hugely overpriced. However the food is the highlight.
A good place to go for food. The clothing section though is a little restricted....probably better to go to a bigger store if clothes or underwear are needed!
However, the staff are friendly and willing to help!

the food is great! with some great low fat options, if they are a little overpriced. the clothing section is a little dull with mainly middle aged women + style clothing!
they also give out free spoons and forks which is SO useful!! (i bet i'm known for walking in, grabbing a handful and running out xD)

The food hall is good with lots of ready-made meals and tasty sandwiches to buy to eat in town. However the clothes section leaves a lot to be desired, with nothing really except cardigans, bras and childrens' clothes. It's worth going to the one in Hedge End for a weekly shop simply because they sell a much wider range of things.
Its not huge but still got a good selection of food downstairs and clothes upstairs, as expected from an M&S its quite expensive, but the food is very good quality and definatly worth the price, especcialy if your looking for something in particular or a packet of Percy Pigs!
Not one of the bigger Marks & Spencer but there is a large enough selection of food and drink - perfect for lunch and popular for those working in town. The clothes section is rather limited though and queues do tend to build up
Never really impressed with the men's section of this shop. The cafe sells nice food but it's all really over priced. There are plenty of tills and generally I only go in to buy Percy Pigs.
Mens section ok but I only really buy underwear here as it is good quality. The store is quite big 2 floors and the staff are all very nice and helpful. Cafe is nice with good coffee.
Good per una section with some trendy clothes. Upstairs all underwear and clothes are outdated and a bit grannyish. Good childrens section and nice cafe upstairs. Downstairs Food hall and great bakery.
