John lewis in edinburgh is fantastic. This store has everything in it and when there is a sale on, you can pick up loads of bargains. They have a cafe/restaurant on the top floor which sells gorgeous food, and at a good price too. They also have a good mother and baby room for if you have to breastfeed your baby. Top class for shopping and lunch.

John Lewis has loads of stuff in it. Pretty much everything you can think of. Make-up, perfume, bags, shoes, clothes, pots & pans, electrical goods (big & small), beds, carpets, I could go on and on.

I do find the staff look down their noses at you though. That puts me off big time.

This store is huge and recently refurbished with a modern feel. I think the kitchen and electric departments are very impressive. It also features a wide range of fashion brands, toy department, furniture, carpets and cafes. It is also connected to the large st james shopping centre so it really does have anything you want very close by.

This Store has everything you will posibly need. There is an area of handbags, makeup, perfume, material, carpets, fashion, gifts, china and much more. There is great cafe for when you get tired, which happens easily. The place is a little boring. The fashion bit aims at older women. There is a small section of younger fashions with brands such as Levis and Roxy, however it is limited. Good selection of shoes though.

This is a very good department store which always offers great service and products. They do a great range of furniture, perfume, jewellery, carpets and clothes! Brilliant for a family shop as it offers such a wide range of products.

Often quite pricey, but well designed store. Has everything you could ever need, from trampolines to sewing kits to pots and pans to clothes for all the family and much much more.

In terms of the range and products this store carries I really can't fault it, located in the St James Centre, it literally has everything! An impressive lay-out over five floors, with courteous friendly staff. Great lighting department as well as home accessories. I highly recommend the ladies lingerie department - they have well trained bra fitters who'll find you exactly what youre looking for.

Really good big department store with loads of useful departments. They have a big sports section, some electrical bits, everything you could want basically. The St Johns centre isn't the most exciting place there is, but this is one store which makes it worth a visit

John Lewis is the flagship store in the St James Centre in Edinburgh, and is split over a massive five floors. You can find everything under one roof, including clothing for everyone and homeware. The restaurant is really relaxed and serves tasty meals for reasonable prices. There is a good selection of both affordable and more expensive clothing, so there is something to suit all budgets. The beauty department is really impressive, with loads of beauty counters and hundreds of perfumes on sale. One bad point was that there wasn't many signposts in the store, so I got lost a few times trying to find the departments I was looking for.
