This is a fairly small frankie and benny's, although the food is often nice (can be a bit hit and miss sometimes) the service can sometimes be very slow, but friendly. I would go during the week for the lunch menu as it is very good value for money!

Very nice food and the staff are always smiling. Great to go during happy hour which is from 12 til 4 if I'm not mistaken. The happy hour menu allows you to choose 2 courses which can be a starter and main or a main and dessert. There's a lot to choose from on the menu which is Italian/American based ranging from spaghetti and pasta dishes to burgers and ribs. Well situated in the Gate it allows you to be able to go for a drink or catch a film afterwards.

One of my favourite chains and the one in The Gate doesn't disappoint. Friendly staff and lots of places to sit to accomodate large groups. During lunchtime the menu is cheap if you have 2 or 3 courses and you get refillable soft drinks. Yes some things are expensive for a student budget but the foods so good its worth the treat.

The last time i went to frankie and benny's i had an amazing time. It was my firends birthday, therefore there was a large group of us. This restaurent has plenty of seating to accomodate large croeds of people. The food is so nice, and there are a range of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. They do offer student discount which is also a bonus seeing as though some of the prices are expensive. Oh, and i wouldnt advise anyone to buy a cocktail pitcher, there a waste of money.

One of the most extremely overrated restaurants in Newcastle. Frankie and Benny's offers only average food at an above average price. There are many great Italian restaurants in Newcastle city centre which offer much better quality food at a fraction of the price. Although the appeal of knowing what you are going to get from eating in chains such as this one may appeal to some, for me all i know is that I am definitely going to get ripped off the minute I step in.

Quite a small restaurant of the Frankie and Benny's chain, so not a great atmosphere and when Ive been the past it has never been that busy, but the staff are very friendly and food is always good. I would recommend it to anyone for a light snack at lunch of for an evening meal.

This is a fairly regular Italian restaurant, with the normal pizza/pasta selection. However the food is always very nice and they offer a really nice desert menu which includes deserts to share etc. I would recommend coming here before or after seeing a film at the Gate's cinema.

This is an ever popular favourite with people of all ages and budgets. The menu has everything from steaks, to pizzas, to pasta and you can eat really cheaply if you want. The sharing platter is a really good starter if there are a few of you. Staff are usually friendly, although service can be a bit slow even when the restaurant dosn't seem that busy.

I personally don't really like the menu here as I find the prices overly priced for what you get. The food is quite good but not worth the money I don't think ,although the garlic bread is really nice.
