The Spar shop at Lapford Cross Garage is a necessity for the local rural area it supplies. Large enough to stock many items including fresh bread and meat from a local butcher as well as the usual provisions ,it is also very friendly and has the feeling of a village shop. They have a small off licence which often has some good special offers on wine and in the mornings they cook fresh pasties and sausage rolls- very difficult to resist on your way to work on a cold January morning ! Although the prices are slightly higher than a supermarket the convenience is worth it.
