Tumbling Weir is a rural thatched Hotel & Restaurant set in the lovely area of Ottery St Mary. I had a lovely evening here on saturday with my fellow friends of the 'Devon Social Group' (see its own review). The theme of the evening was 70's - 80's, we had a 3 course sit down meal (with choices prior to the evening). I had there Lamb Shank & Fresh Fruit Pavlova, very nice the lamb was divine. I was very impressed with the cost of the drinks, especially for the ones who were driving, thank you.

The service from the hotel, was brilliant, prompt, polite and helpful. I admired the way they new what everyone had orderd prior to arriving at the table, I guess with a big event they find it easier, (the name cards had coloured dots which was co-ordinated to the relevant meal choice), very well done.

Following the dining section of our evening we had a themed 70's - 80's disco, (all the ladies were straight up including my self till late). Brillliant disco, Honiton based D.J

The venue itself I cant properly comment as we were in one of there function rooms, but from that point of view, a very nice evening all round.
