This is a great option if you can't stretch to sky. Alot of people have it, means you get channels such as Channel4 +1, E4, filmfour, and ITV2. You can get a box for as little as a tenner and they are really easy to set up. Definitely worth getting, i love watching the next days hollyaoks on the next channel.

freeview is really good if youc ant afford to get the likes of sky or virgin media. However it all depends on the make of the freeview box, some you can get and you cant pick up signal verywell but others you can buy seem fine. Freeview allows you to watch all the free channels the like sky offer such as itv2 more4 e4 e4+1 ect
These are also great for teenages rooms as it gives the adults piece lol

We got a Freeview box for about 50 quid. It's definitely worth it. You get about 150 extra channels, including BBCs 3 and 4, and ITVs 2, 3 and 4, and E4. All of these and several others all have pretty good shows on from time to time, and with no extra costs beyond the initial lump sum, it's easily worthwile if you watch a lot of television. The signal is apparently a bit dodgy in some areas, but I've not had problems if it's hooked up to the main ariel on the roof.

Freeview is a pretty decent TV service allowing you to expierience digital Tv such as E4, ITV 2 and BBC Four. I have it as we live in an area where sky recption is limited so it it is good in that sense. All you need is a digibox available from most electronics stores, which doesnt take long to set up. There are new Freeview chanels coming out all the time, allwing the selection to be more varied. A good service!

I think Freeview is a really great idea for a number of reasons. It is not that expensive at only around £30 a month yet it gives you a much wider variety of channels than if you just ge the bog standard 5 channels.
I often find that if you get the full Sky Plus package there are is a large proportion of the channels that you don't actually watch and are therefore wasting your money.
However, Freeview contains channels such as Living and ITV2 which all have great shows on them.
Definitely reccommended.

Freeview is the best alternative to sky there is and without the added cost of over £30 a month that more sky packages have. You can pick up a box from as little as £10 and then you have a great selection of channels ranging from sky sports news to bbc 3 which aren't included in normall terrestrial tv. Its well worth the money to be able to have access to over 40 channels and offers you a better picture quality without having to pay extortinate monthly bills with sky for many channels you dont watch. Highly recommended and cost effective. A+++

Freeview does exactly what it says on the tin. The viewing is free! You can get channels like E4 and film four on there which is great news. Lots of news channels and a couple of music channels makes it great for everyone. You can get simple boxes for about £15 and more expensive ones that record cost up to £200!!! The choice is yours. You are not tied down at all which makes it great.

Freeview is a good option to get a few extra digital channels such as BBC3 & E4 without having to pay subscription. However i have always had problems getting good signal and even recieving all of the channels. I have even bought a booster arial which has only improved it slightly so even though freeveiw may say your postcode area can revieve freeview you still may have problems.

Freeview has to be a good thing, getting extra channels while stay only paying the standard tv license fee can't be bad. The main thing i don't like about it is the need for a set top box, which in general are tacky and badly designed. They also just add another annoying remote to be lost down the back of the sofa. An increasing number of new tvs are coming with freeview built in these so this problem shouldn't last for too long. If you're not interested in paying extra for cable or satellite tv then freeview is definitely worthwhile. Personally though i'll stick to my sky
