Vue Cinema, PORTSMOUTH

Right in the centre of gunwhalf quays! sandwiched between frankie and bennys and chiquitos and all other bars and restuarants are very close, so you can make a night out of going to the cinema with a meal involved also! Seating is great... very spacious! The screens are massive! and the selection of films is great! and good and varied showings! They accomodate for the disabled also!

lots of showing and lots of screenings of any film curently showing prices are disgustingly over priced 7£ for 1 ticket! food is just as over priced but the quality of the movie and seating makes up for this large price tag

This cinema is great, always has a good choice of films and they never seem to be fully booked. I have seen approx 50 films here this year and never had a problem with the staff or the cinema, very highly recommended and although it is the only major cinema in portsmouth they still have high standards.

very good spacious cinemas. Always showing varied films at convenient times of the day. Refreshments are reasonalbly priced. The staff are also very welcoming and make you feel at home.

Seats are big and comfy and plenty of leg room. However the main board which says what films is showing is often broken so its hard to no whats showing. Food is also very over priced and you often have to wait a while in the que to get it. Toilets are also not that clean. But there are lots of screens and many films showing.

Vue cinema is gunwarf is by far the best cinema to attend to in the area. Showing asll the latest films in great quality and seat are very comfortable. The staff are nice and alwayts willing to help. the atmosphere is a happy one and the enviroment is always kept clean.

Despite possesing fantastic facilities and many screens, th price of entry is extrordinarily high. Don't forget to bring an NUS card if you're a student. However that is not the full story. Once you are in, the cost of popcorn and drinks for one person can top over £10.

A nice big cinema, which is great should you need to kill some time or get fed up of shopping. Ticket prices are ok, not great but not sky high either. They do good popcorn =] there are plenty of screens, meaning that there are plenty of movies showing at any one time.

Really nice cinema, i think thers about 15 screens there and all the latest films are always on. Its expensive however they provide a great range of sweets, popcorn, drinks and so on. The cinema also does late showings for adults which is cool because it takes out the annoying kids you get in there!

very large cinema and very comfortable seats. great cinema experience. however, some of the staff there are unfriendly and rude and have a bad idea about someones age. But they do have great tasting popcorn and so once you've passed the till and bought your ticket you can watch a great movie experience.

Really a huge cinema, student ticket is 4.75 and you get a voucher for money off next time if you come back within 2 weeks. They have the latest films and they stay on for quite some time so you dont need to rush to see them.

Big cinema complex, contains 14 screens seats are comfortable with good leg room. Has a main ticket office and a place to purchase food and drink such as hot dogs, popcorn, nachos, sweets and ice cream, however the pricing is quite expensive for what you are getting yet it is worth the experience of this cineplex.

This is a great cinema complex with over 20 screens there is plenty to watch. The size of the different rooms varies with the newer films in the larger rooms. You will always get a seat. The food is very expensive, just like all cinemas. it is kept fairly clean.

A very high quality of cinema, really does stand out from the rest, this is quite obviously the best cinema around, its not the cheapest of them but does offer the most realistic experience ever, the visual and sound effects are as modern as you can get and with over 15 screens there is always something on for you to enjoy.

The vue cinema at Gunwharf has an incredible 14 screens and shows all the latest films as soon as they come out. The food inside is expensive, but that is to be expected at pretty much all cinemas nowadays! The staff are friendly and courteous and the seats are usually clean and tidy.

What a great cinema! The atmosphere is always fantastic, the cinemas are huge and extremely comfortable. What I like most is that you have complete choice in where to sit (unless it is fully booked) You can choose whether to sit at the back, middle and front and not have to worry about being told off for sitting in the wrong seat! Highlt recommended.

Vue raised the bar for cinemas in the south, it boasts 14 screens all of which are an excellent size and always clean. It always has the latest films and although it's slightly pricey it's worth it for the experience. There is just about every snack or drinks option you could want and it's open till late so you can go along at any time. Definately worth a visit if you're on a night out.

A huge complex with 14 cinema screens, Vue Cinema is the ultimate cinema. Each room has loads of seats and is rarely overcrowded because of this. It has a wide range of Snacks and sweets and the staff are always helpful and friendly. The only slight problem with this place is the prices are expensive.

Kind and helpful staff, a selection of sweets and popcorn, which are expensive, seats are comforatble with plenty of leg room, always a good selection of movies from this 14 screen cinema. Total capaity of over 3000 people makes this a great place for a night out.

Vue Cinema in Gunwharf is a lovely place to go on a first date, if you're taking the kids out to watch a film, or if you are just going with your mates on a friday night. The area is surrounded by lovely restaurants, bars, lots of shops and a bowling alley and arcade.

Tickets are expensive, as are the hot and cold snacks (popcorn, nachos, sweets, hot dogs) which are served, however, if you fancy a movie, this is definitely the best place to go in the Southsea/Portsmouth area.

This is a very big cinema with multiple screens. They always have lots of films showing at lots of times. There is a pick a mix section and you can also purchase the usual drinks, popcorn etc. The screens are kept tidy and clean and there are also lots of well kept toilets. The one downside is tickets are expensive.

A large range of films to choose from. The cinemas are large, the chairs are comfy. A great place to go with friends and the tickets are much cheaper than at the Odeon.

The service at this vue cinema is great. The staff are attentive friendly and they keep the cinemas clean. they offer a wide range of films and screens which means that there is not too much overcrowding. This cinema can be popluar so i recommend booking in advance to avoid disappointment. There are a wide range of refreshments at good prices. Recommended.

vue is one of the best cinemas around. it's quite expensive and so is the food but it's worth it. it's very clean and modern and the staff are very helpful.

A very large cinema complex situated in the popular Gunwharf shopping and eating centre. With 14 cinemas, the film releases are always out and the showings of each film is only about and hour inbetween, so you can go at anytime and are almost ensured to watch the film you want to. The prices are expensive, but if you go and get a voucher, and use it within the next two weeks, a couple of quid is knocked off, also if you present a student card, money is given off. A very good and attended to cinema, with the cinemas always being clean and no rubbish.

this is adefinately the best cinema facility in the whole of portsmouth. with state of the art screens, the picture and the sounds is as crisp as if you were really there witnessing the action. they are always showing the latest movies, and the is a wide variety of confectionary to be purchased to enjoy with your film!

Vue Cinemas is the best cinema in portsmouth in my view. At Vue Cinemas they have a great layout with many screens. Also they do not put up with any noisy customers which is really good as you want to watch a movie in peace.

Vue cinema is a large cinema of about 14 screens. The space and comfort of the screens are very convenient. Allows people to feel comfortable and happy while watching the newest films. The staff are very quick to deal with any problems around the cinema i.e people being too loud or even run out of toilet roll. very impressed with the cinema. only down side is the prices of adult tickets and price of concessions. But they also have vouchers with every ticket so next time you get money off your cinema ticket which is useful if you remember them.

A very good cinema offering the most up to date films. Unlike looks of cinema's the seats and theatres are well looked after. The staff are very nice too and when there is an issue (other people being overly loud etc...) the staff are quick to respond and sort out the issuse. Only slight problem is that the sweet stand is expensive beyond belief, you can easily find youself paying £5 for very few sweets.
