Although I much prefer to purchase electrical goods online these days, my first choice of high street electrical retailers has always been Comet.They consistently offer more choice and better prices than their rivals although, much like any similar company, their own brand warranty is a complete rip-off and waste of time - I was offered an extra year's warranty for a £500 laptop, the cost being around £210 (money better of being put toward a new laptop in a few years time).Comet staff always seem to know what they're talking about, and they are helped no end by a tidy, intuitive store layout - of which the same can't be said about Currys, Miller Bros. or any of its competitors. It also manages to undercut many companies who are more specialised, such as PC World.It's always nice to be able to physically try products out before purchasing them online; I would suggest Comet is the best place to try out electrical products.Rating: 8/1029/10/2007
