The Student Room is a great website for students however there are quite a few non-students floating about too. You can get in contact with other people doing the same courses as you etc and get advice from them or chat in the many different forums there are. A very good site and also has a lot of good advice pages such as 'what to take to university'. Definitely a must for any students out there!

For me, thestudentroom was REALLY helpful in just allowing you to get in contact with people doing you're course, before you go to uni! It was invaluable to me to be able to talk to real people who have experienced the course, before I settled for it, and I'm sure this is probably what most students who have used it have found! There are also, however, many useful and more entertaining chat rooms on here, which are great if you want advice or just simply to hear other students's ideas and opinions on any subject.

great website, with a wide range of members, always a large active community, so if you're stuck on anything, they'll be sure to help you.
also a great place to discuss exams after taking them, and talking about how it went. aswel as educational stuff, it holds a lot of forums about health, money issues, university, relationships etc.

This is a perfect website for students!! I have used it for help with course work and personal statements! it is also a great website to find out about what university you are thinking of going to, as you get students views and can findt he pro and cons!!

how many times have i used this for cw, A level and GCSE and for uni! if one wants, there are relationship forums, subject specific forums as well as general chat!

This is a useful resource for students who wish to share both academic and social knowledge and experience. The site aims to provide help with decisions about courses, exam study and university choices, applying for finance, careers and personal problems. There are numerous forums and I discovered the site when searching for further comments about a lettings agent that had received several unfavourable reviews on HelpHound (see review for Park Lane Properties). This is definitely one for students to put in their favourites!

The student room website is a forum aimed at students to discuss anything ranging from universities and courses to TV and music to debating political issues. I would especially reccommend this website for college students as they have the opportunity to talk to students at the university they are interested in going to and ask questions about their course. There is something on the student room to interest everyone whatever you are into and if there isnt you can create a thread yourself and find like minded students to chat too. You can also get help from fellow students on a range of issues from computer and car problems to relationship and fashion issues.
