A brilliant pre-bar that is popular with students and locals on almost every night. A underground bar placed just off the main street you can get very cheap drinks including trebles for 2. Had some good times in here and also a place you can watch sport on there Tv's.

The best place to go to get unbelieveably drunk on next to no money. Trebles are only 2!!!!! An excellent place for students either as a starter bar to get some cheap drinks as its well located in the centre of newcastle or as a place to go when you are a bit strapped for cash. However it does get very busy so you probably wont want to spend hours there. You have to be quite careful on the stairs if you are wearing heels and have had rather a lot to drink (which at thise prices who can resist)

Another trebles bar, much more spacious than Basement. Lots of drinks promotion but honestly one of the hottest, most sweatiest bars I have EVER been in!! A pretty good pre-bar if you're heading on to Liquid or Venue.

Cheap cocktails and trebles mean this bar is always packed! Whilst this is better than it being empty it often means you can't move and the place gets very sweaty. Great for a few pre-drinks but not somewhere I would stay for any length of time.

A dark dingey sticky floored bar that only stays open until half 12 in the evening yet for some reason has an amazing ability to atract masses of customers most evenings, why? one simply reason, its cheap, dangerously cheap! Three trebles and any mixer for £5.50! Its a great place to go to get hammered before your hit one of the larger more classy places in the city of newcastle.

This is a great bar to go to before going to a club. They sell treble vodka and oranges for £2 which is amazing! However, also very dangerous because you can get hammered off £10! The bar is downstairs and there is quite a good amount of seating areas. Definitely a good place to visit when in Newcastle!

This is a place you can find £2 trebles and cocktails. It plays good music while you are in there. It is one of the more upscale cheap drinks place in Newcastle. Frequently used by the students in Newcastle Univeristies. It can get bery busy on big student nights out.

A great bar to start your night! Trebles are £2 and are served in decent sized glasses (unlike the yoghurt pots in Basement) and cocktails are also £2 before certain times, and taste just as good as ones that you would pay £5 for elsewhere. They have a great range of both cocktails and other drinks (including soft drinks) and quite a lot of seating. It gets very warm in here though so not the place to go if you're all wrapped up against the Newcastle weather!

It is a bar with two floors the downstairs is much bigger then the upstairs. The drinks can be cheap and is especially good on a Friday night before going out to another club. It has nice cocktails which can be 2.50. There are two toilets which means not alot of waiting for the girls. It can get very hot but it does have some nice seating and some good music.

Before coming to Newcastle, trebles were never heard of, so when everyone started to rave on about cheap trebles i didnt quite expect them to be literally CHEAP TREBLES. Bar 42 is popular with many, £2 for a treble is madness. There are a range of spirits to choose from. They also serve a great range of cocktails, in particular my favourite is cherry lips, these can also be bought at cheap prices.
